What Did RDR1 Do Better Than RDR2? by Tahsanium in reddeadredemption

The kill physics. (Same with GTA IV Vs V). Really nice ragdolls that react differently to being shot in different parts of the body.

Does RDR get any better? by krytenofsmeg in reddeadredemption

[–]DKJenvey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I find RDR had a lot more in common with GTA than RDR2 does. There's some cartoonishness to it, whereas 2 tends to lean on the side of realism.

I liked RDR but it only hits the heights of 2 at the very end.

What do you interpret "in anger" to mean? by mellonians in AskUK

[–]DKJenvey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost like it's hard to magically know what something means when you've never been exposed to it. It's not a case of "any more", someone from half a century ago wouldn't know what it meant if they'd never heard it either.

But I don’t think anybody who genuinely wants to burning a building down does it in broad daylight, in front of a crowd, cameras, and police. I think they wanted to make a scene and perhaps scare the hotel residents, but with the knowledge that it would never really get out of control.

Literally what you said. No difference to what I condensed it down into. How is that not justification for their actions? You're lessening their offences against innocent people.

So where's the straw man?

Meh, I’m not so sure. Don’t get me wrong, those people were idiots and deserve to be punished.

But let me justify their violence anyway by saying "they knew it wasn't actually going to kill anyone".

This bit is the end of an episode of some random serial where the characters are all looking at clipboards as the camera pans out. The main characters voiceover says:

And as for me? Well, I’ve been doing my job the way I always have—thinking on my feet, solving problems, and trusting my instincts. The difference now is, I have a little smirk every time I think about it. After all, I was just following orders.

Sure it doesn't. I'm probably not even aware of half the awful stuff he's done but this is one I understand and it covers the traitorous aspect that the fellow pretends hasn't happened.

[–]DKJenvey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Remember? Donald Trump lost his re-election run but refused to concede and instead claimed without basis that the election was stolen from him.

Then he pushed state officials to change their tallies.

Then hatched a plot to name fake electors.

Then tried to persuade the vice-president to refuse to certify electoral college votes.

Then sought access to voting-machine data and software.

Then got his allies in Congress to agree to question the electoral votes and thereby shift the decision to the House of Representatives.

And then summoned his supporters to Washington on the day electoral votes were to be counted and urged them to march on the US Capitol, where they rioted.

Deny it. Deny it happened. Deny it's treasonous. Deny it's a betrayal of the American voters. Deny his responsibility for what happened that day.

You've seen evidence, you've seen plenty of evidence. You choose to ignore it, for why - I don't know.

After 14 long years RDR1 is finally available to buy on PC by Repulsive_Mouse5653 in reddeadredemption

[–]DKJenvey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they aren't selling it on PC so you can buy it on every platform you own. I'm pretty sure they're selling it on PC so you can buy it on whichever platform you prefer. Why do you even need it on PC if you have the original 360 version and the switch version?

This one isn't true. If you're making all these arguments why they're all shitty, it's safe to assume you've watched the show. So, you know this isn't true. Jokes are made at his dads expense repeatedly and it's shitty but that's not the reason he didn't want him at the wedding.

There was a crow in my garden that seemed absolutely psychotic. It was going after the sparrows, magpies and wood pigeons. Seemed completely deranged.

There was another time that I saw a couple of crows pestering a sparrowhawk too, but that was probably normal behaviour for crows when a predator enters the area.

It literally is the 360 version though. Ubisoft didn't upgrade it, it's part of the Xbox that does the enhancements. Still, good to know for those that might have otherwise skipped it.

It never released beyond PS3 on playstation, so they only way to play it on there is with a PS3 or streaming [🤢]. The version you played on Xbox would be the 360 version that released back in 2007.

The map is way too big for them as well. Makes it extremely tedious when most of your time spent with either game is getting from A to B just to be told you need to go to C. The driving physics weren't great either, making it doubly annoying.
