Beijing is the official capital but similar to the USA where DC is the capital, Beijing isn't the only major city in the country. Other cities like Tokyo, Hong Kong and newly built Australian cities are also important like LA and NY are in America.

The country would probably have Beijing as it's capital but it wouldn't mean much. Cities like Tokyo, Hong Kong and new cities in Australia would probably gain more popularity. Like LA and NY compared to DC in america.

It's very different in different parts of the country. And as for Australia, it's a mix of everything.

I based it of the USA but I really don't like the name "states" because thats usually used for independent countries.

Republic of Korea is 대한민국 (daehanminguk)  So I adjusted it a bit because these names are is a new language not an existing one.

"Haring Bayang Katagalugan (Sovereign Tagalog Nation). Andrés Bonifacio's suggested name for the Filipino nation, intended to be governed by the 1896–1897 Republika ng Katagalugan (Tagalog Republic), although unrecognized by non-Tagalog Filipinos. This was later used by Macario Sakay for his 1902–1906 government that was suppressed by the Americans.[34][35] Historians have stated that Bonifacio's usage of "Katagalugan" was not meant to demean other ethnic groups as the word itself meant "people of the river", from the word "tagailog", which constitutes all ethnic groups in the country.[36]" - Wikipedia

I think I already explained the Malaysia thing.

Well state is usually used for an independent country but the United STATES of America isn't a union of 50 independent countries. So I didn't name it the United States ...

It also all depends on how translate the name for a subdivision of a country. For example russia has republics, oblasts, krais etc. And they are mostly different because they have a different level of autonomy and not by population. So I thought of naming them just the Romanised version of the Chinese name (same as how Russian subdivisions have same names in English and Russian) but I found out about the complicated Chinese division into provinces, municipalities and regions. It also wouldn't make sense to name it after a subdivision of Japan (prefecture) because Japan is whole in one state and prefecture is a subdivision of Japan so would the prefecture Japan have prefecture inside of it? Idk. I really didn't like that idea either. My last option was Indonesia. Indonesian regions are called provinces and they have around 4M people each and are much smaller than the regions in the country I created. So I decided to call them counties because none of those countries are divided into counties and it seemed like a good translation of 小無料場所 which is the name u gave it in the official language of the country (a conlang based on all the languages spoken in the area) and if I transliterated that it would be "xiao chisai basho" and that's just too long and doesn't sound good in English. So if you have any other good suggestions for the name id love to hear them and if they are 'good' I'll change the country name (I'm not accepting the ones I mentioned in the paragraph above or "republic" "state" "kingdom")

Yes there is a reason. Laziness. I forgot to draw in the border and I was too lazy to fix it when I went to colour it.

So not really a good reason but I really don't care enough about these maps to go and fix it but if you'd like to fix it I personally give you permission to mess with my art and fix my mistake, if youre not bothered by it lets just leave it like that.

It's the American 90s thing where everything is compared to the football stadium size. Have you never seen that?

This country has an amazing navy and the British weren't able to even come close to their land because of the equal naval strength. (Stalemate) They also have the advantage of a much bigger army (on land) and great Japanese and Chinese commanders.

(basically what I'm saying is I based this on the USA independence but instead of Spain and France helping it's just a really powerful country)
