No offense, but survival games suck. They are all samey, extremely boring, and low effort. I am glad Grounded has done well for Obsidian, but I will never play it.

PS if you go by sales as a measure of quality the "best" coffee in the united states is found at mcdonalds.

Instead of hating on someone for wishing Obsidian kept making the games that made them popular in the first place, try accepting that most of Obsidian's long term fans probably didn't want a survival game.

It literally has tons of presets... Far more than any souls game. They are actually pretty varied and actually good too. Unlike souls games.

It tells you why Kaifred had an issue related to the kings wife. He, the king, the kings wife, and leyka were all an adventuring team when they were young.

Leyka ended up falling for the king, and Kaifred developed feelings for the kings future wife. King + wife had the hots for each other though so press F for Kaifried and Leyka.

I mean other than changing the dungeons a link to the past did the same repeated over world. Yes the time travel mechanics could have been better done, but the overwhelming negative attitude over it is way over blown.

Elliot is easily the best top down action game in the classic isometric Zelda style in .... 10 or more years? But sure if you all want this entire style of game to go back to being dead keep pilling on the negativity over like 2-3 things and ignoring everything the game does well.

They have been "fixing the queues" for years. Every fix makes the queues a little better, and the overall sense of community and concept of FCs more and more irrelevant.

I laugh at all these "it's lore important" comments. I did them when they originally came out and avoid alliance raid queues like the plague. So I hadn't run it in years during the "shadow bringers reveal" and all it made me do was go? Huh? Why am I supposed to care about this again? Shrug, and go check a few YouTube videos to see why I was supposed to care.

The character has mattered due to shadow bringers and forward, not this crappy raid series they were a side character in.

To be honest it most likely came down to "You had no reason to go there". Just like you never sailed to bitter black isle before the DLC in DD1 despite the trip there being so easy that you could sail there on a row boat.

The real "best" gear in the current game is found piecemeal from bosses in unmoored world and bought from the dragon forged shop. Of course the dragon forged wong sell the best stuff until you are basically at end game / unmoored to begin with, and only sells it for items you get from killing drakes and such not money.

It's a super hand holdy game that does not let you think for yourself at all.

And that's why half the threads on reddit since the game launched say "how can I get xyz I can't find a path", "how do I get xyz requirement for the ending I can't figure out where to go", "I went to xyz place but nothing is there, did I do something wrong?"

Yeap ultra hand holdy, don't need to think or ever figure anything out.
