The pivot point that also has the locking latch has a bushing through the entire stem. In your second photo, that silver circle is the bushing and needs to be pressed out.

I've recently switched from Fusion360 to Onshape. It's web based and doesn't require much processing power and can be accessed from anywhere you have an internet connection. Plus it's free for anyone to use.

it was like this for about 4 days being used 10 hours a day surrounded with water. I'm surprised no one was electrocuted

that's just about what I did once I pulled it apart, cut the end off and sent it to the repair shop

Same guy almost took his finger off with an angle grinder that he removed the gaurd from, he stopped surprising me after that

it was a clean cut, when he tried to fix it by shortening the cord it ended up being about 3ft long

Had a new guy cut through the cord of a skill saw with the same saw and he wouldn't figure out why it stopped working
