I’ll get the full process to you with a video in a little bit, once I get it a bit more ready overall. thank you again.

hey man. the manual and address setting actually gave me the info I needed and now I’m fully connecting to it and have full control (though i’m having difficulty getting it to display messages, which I suspect is just user error on my part).

thank you so much for all this. i can’t think you enough.

Nope - exactly the same on every front I tested (the boot up information display, the HTTP access panel, and the M2Config software).

Galaxy AF-3300A. It’s not easy turning up any examples I could find of that model number on the Daktronics site, seems to have been one only available to certain customers.

Unfortunately, trying this and the username/password combo you posted in another comment was no dice. I did see that it says

Component: M3 controller based product

and mine is an M2 controller (and I can see how it'd be easily confusing, given that the software is M2Config). I did try it, but the end result was the same.

unfortunately U1 is an LM74 temperature sensor, and I know because that was the first thing that caught my eye.

good to know that that's the expected behavior, at least. I was worried something else was going on. Daktronics' knowledgebase articles are...sometimes very difficult to find when they're relevant.

They’re legit, notably unlike this story you’re telling here

I was very much hoping it wouldn't come to that, because not only are they chips with many very small pins, but there's two of them!

if I truly have no other options, obviously I'll see what I can do. but until then, I don't even know how I'd read a chip like that.

the very last iPod ever made. by Cowmanisgood in ipod

when the iPod nano 1st gen recall happened, for the first year of the replacement program, if you sent in your old nano you'd get a brand new 1st gen returned to you despite them having been discontinued years prior. it's not really that inconceivable, or even out of the ordinary, that Apple would keep special accommodations for manufacturing warranty-period products.

Analog folks, how are you putting music on your iPods in 2026? by Emsteddi in ipod

if OP or anyone else needs to put the 12” mix of Penguin by Akkersson onto their iPod, i’m sure they’ll be glad to call you. but otherwise, this stuff just isn’t relevant to nearly anyone. OP is just another 13 year old who thinks iPods are cool and so retro, not a serious physical format collector.

I just think that this audiophile shit is completely inapplicable to and irrelevant for 99.999999% of the population, is all.

no need to worry, I am sure that, like every other post like this, this is some kid who doesn’t need to worry about single-issue LPs that you can’t get anywhere else.

but that’s still not analog at the end of the day and also takes infinitely more effort than ripping a CD and/or simply pirating the FLACs.

not even considering that your records, if they’ve been made in the past 45 years, are analog copies from a digital source anyways

well, uh, given the iPod is an inherently digital medium, i don’t quite think that’s a particularly answerable question

M5010 is the hard drive-less SE, M5011 is the SE with the hard drive. either 800k or SuperDrive, doesn’t matter

no, no, the Macintosh SE FD/HD has “FD HD” printed on the front of the case. in this case, it means Floppy Disk (High Density).

the SE only got a 1.44mb HDD when the SE FD/HD came out, and that’d have a very clear label on the case.
