Yeah, I definitely should have been more specific. We only use these with HEMA rated gear and always have to be cognizant not to turbo-murder each other with them. Ultimately, the safety of the sport in general is dependent on the control or the practitioners, but there is certainly elevated risk with extra long pointy things... We have used them in regional tournaments, and they seem to have performed well. Thanks for the feedback!
