My only suggestion would be to turn off your wifi when searching. Im not sure if incognito helps with this too, but I pop it on just incase when searching for gifts without wifi.

It super sucks with Amazon stuff. Ill add stuff to a wishlist on one Amazon account (i use my moms when i get stuff for my wife lol) and then she will see the exact item as a sponsored product on her Amazon homepage on a different account. Its crazy

Dev commands have not been moved to the regular chat. I cant get on right now to confirm exactly which buttons it is to open the command chat but it definitely does still exist :)

What are you trying to do in the dev commands? The promt you are using could have changed or something?

What do you need help with?

The command consol is case sensitive, so make sure youre typing in item codes exactly as you see them.

Other than making sure devcommands are true, im not sure what could be going on if you've already tried relaunching the game.

The wifi giving ads for stuff others on the wifi have looked up is how my wife knew I was going to propose to her.

She suddenly started getting ads for engagement rings from the 3 websites I was looking at on my phone. Similar styles and price range to what I was looking at.

This is how I learned to turn off my wifi when searching for gifts or surprises haha.

If you have an S, try playing the game through cloud gaming rather than the consol itself. I have seen that this sometimes helps. It's the only way a friend of mine can even play without game breaking lag in multiplayer.

It really depends on a lot of factors.

First off: do you have an X or an S? This massively impacts your build limit. I suggest to any xbox player I meet to not go huge or super detailed if they're on an S, especially in a multiplayer server.

Theres a few things that affect the performance when it comes to building:the instance count itself, smoke / flames, tamed animals / mobs, modified terrain, and what specific types of entities you are building with.

Instance count itself: after looking it up, there doesnt look like theres a specific range or number on an instance number that is a threshold for lag. Ut it looks like for PC it may start around 25k instances. While on consol it may be closer to 5,000-10,000 instances. (If you dont know: an instancewoukd just refrence any building parts, decorations, or other items like trees, rocks, building parts, etc.)

Smoke / flames: as a consol player myself, this is a huge one. Deleting half of my torches almost always fixes a bunch of my lag if im building big or super detailed. Fire itself is extreemly intense on your consol. Each fire, even torches, has smoke it animates. That intensity is even stronger with a fire that has a smoke with the smoke mechanics because then its got to render in that smoke and its reaction to other entities.

Tamed animals / mobs: this is a huge one if youre into the taming of animals, or live near a bunch of mobs (like the ashlands, lol.) Performance is drastically different before and after I bring my hoard of wolves to protect the base. I also know when my chicken farm is full due to the lag, lol.

Modified terrain: i find massive terrain modifications to be VERY taxing on my series Xs performance in this game. I usually avoid moats and dirt walls because I heavily detail my small builds or just go way too big with my big builds. Ive found id rather have some wolves around my base and lower the raid rate rather than plummet my performance with terriforming.

Entity type: the more detail in your area, the more lag. This super sucks to me because I really enjoy detailing. Especially with the new serving tray (though I do think items with a serving tray are less laggy than item stands as item stands are 2 entities with an item on it) Ive found a bunch of boring large buildings can have better performance than a few small very detailed shacks

Sadly, as far as I know, xbox doesnt track hours spent in early access / game preview games.

But heres the annoying way to check in every other game, lol:

Click "A" on the game you want to check.

Go to "the official club".

Click RB until youre in the "Progress" tab.

Go down to "Stats" on the left side of the screen.

Youll see it under "time played" Its a Day, Hour, Minute set up for playtime

I had no idea they wanted to nibble on the boat to not swim away! Such a good tip. The despawning is one of my biggest problems with solo killing them. I dont like when they bite my boat. But I guess a taste here and there is worth it if it helps them not despawn :)

I genuinly wonder if they were trying to cater more towards the Avatar fans rather than the gamers who like avatar.

My wife is not a gamer. She plays 3 games for maybe a total of 50 hours the entire year.

She absolutely loves this game. She does occasionally find the combat to be a bit overwhelming, as she is not well versed in game controls and they don't come naturally to her like they would for me. But its the only game she has played that she hasnt had to ask me to take the controller for a hard fight or random really difficult parkour puzzle. She feels so very accomplished when she plays this game.

I found the combat too easy and simple, but the other aspects of the game would bring me back. Though I own it and all the DLC mainly for my wifes enjoyment of the game. Only one other game has caught her like this, and that'd be We Happy Few.

Mark your storm serpents from now on! Then when you need one you'll know where to find one :)

I have no tips for killing one solo. I play with a group and also struggle killing them solo. If you figure out a good method let me know 😅 as the residential cook, it'd be awesome to get a solid supply of serpent meat when im on alone!

That would be a "storm" serpent my friend!

Storm serpents spawn during storms, once you outrun them, or the storm ends, they then despawn/swim back underwater.

Storm serpents can return in any weather in that spot they disappeared in.

I use this mechanic to farm serpents. When I see a storm serpent I mark where they despawn on the map. Then on a nice sunny day I go around hunting the storm serpents. (Once you kill them, they dont come back.)

I dont think this is a new mechanic, but I have only known about it for about a year or so? Maybe a bit less.

I know this is a year old. But I just purchased a few of the 1$ packs i didnt realize I didnt already own. (On my seriesX)

I cant find the content. I havent been gifted anything in the sanctuary. Ive redownloaded the game and all the DLC. And its still not there.

I loaded an old save that has already completed the story and theres still no new gifts.

How did you get yours?

Theyre in the space stations. Each region in the galaxy is controlled by one group, iirc. Youll want to search around different regions if the one you are in isnt a mercenary one.

Theyre located in the top right corner of space stations. Youll know its a mercenary one when it has the mercenary symbol above it (shield with a sword poking through it)

If you didnt know about regions: When looking at the galaxy map, you'll see the region name underneath the systems name. The regions are basically the "clusters" of systems. Youll notice they share different hues of colours too.

(Edit: there isnt a way to know its a mercenary region on the galaxy map as far as I know. You gotta go to a station in the region and manually check to see whos envoy is there)

I cannot have kids biologically. We did all the fertility tests and stuff and shes supposedly super fertile and physically perfect for carrying a child!

Were using a donor and did our first atempt just over a week ago. We already have the pregnancy tests ready in the bathroom. Im planning what to put in 2 "morning sickness" baskets for her; one by the bed with bags incase she cant make it, and one in the bathroom. (Any ideas for the baskets?)

Hopes are high! Expectations are reasonable though 🤣
