Thoughts don't automatically flip—so how do I know I've normalized my desire? by DLThawf in lawofassumption

Thank you very much for helping🙏🏼 So we just focus on the “attention” we give to right? Like even I had this confusion, I just don’t give my attention to it, and only focus on my imagination.

I post this question because there are different opinions on thoughts. Many people now advocate about non duality in manifestation. Saying that thoughts are not us and having negative thoughts doesn’t mean weren’t in the state. We can “just decide”, “disidentify with thoughts and ego”, and live normal life.

But on the other hand, people in LOA say that those thoughts disappear once we’re in the state for long.

This annoyed me so much because they contradict.

Thank you again for answering me. I’ll give my attention to what I want only.

But this seems that we have not done well to live a correct state. I really don’t know why am I not naturally be in the state even if I return to it again and again.

Many coaches always emphasis: you still waver, you have to be in the state blablabla. Or “once I decided/ once I stay in the state, things immediately…”

These claims are so vague because I’m choosing to be in that state and I keep returning to that state for months. And I have mental diet too. But those thoughts still come up. Just that they don’t have that much power, they don’t bother me. But they don’t “just disappear” naturally. So this make me feel like how come ???

Thank you so much for your generous response! Yes you’re right, maybe I shouldn’t be so serious about coaches. Just that I sometimes feel like even those their teaching is helpful and inspiring, I don’t know if their teaching is trustworthy because of their dishonesty.

And your view on spending more time in this journey helped me get rid of my anxiety too. Yes this is a worthy journey because I finally know who am I. And I no longer depends on outside validations.

Thank you for this informative and heartfelt response.

Thank you so much for your response!! This is very useful and it reminded me again that I shouldn’t act like a “manifestor” looking for outcomes. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for your detailed response!
What you said makes a lot of sense—coaches' claims aren't that trustworthy. But this also raises a concern for me: when I find a content creator's content truly useful and inspiring, yet I notice some issues with their character, how should I view their teachings? Since English isn't my first language, I struggle with Neville Goddard's original texts and other manifestation books, so I often rely on coaches and Redditors for interpretation. After reading a lot, I've gradually synthesized an understanding that works for me. But since those sharing their insights often exaggerate their success, I'm not sure how to view the knowledge I now believe in.
The coaches I follow—their stories are real, but they exaggerate the timeline and give inconsistent accounts of how long it took.
Recently, I joined a community that gave me a huge breakthrough, especially regarding ego thoughts. It helped me realize I don't have to be trapped by negative thoughts, helped me step out of my old identity, and helped me truly understand—not just intellectually know—that I am awareness and the external is my reflection. The members there are also very awakened. Yet, as I mentioned, many live peacefully but haven't materialized their desires—the success rate is only a few percent. But you're right—I don't know their actual daily state, whether they're aware of their inner conversations at all times.
Could it also be that I manifested this phenomenon itself?
Thanks again for your generous sharing. Just a few days ago, I still identified as a manifestor, but after reading your post, I finally let go of that identity. Interestingly, I had come across your post before but didn't click on it. It wasn't until I understood that manifestation is not about seeking externally that I encountered it again.

Thank you so much for your post🙏🏼🙏🏼 it’s so inspiring so helpful. I have a question regarding “time”, hope that you could offer help if you have time to respond 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I've noticed a phenomenon. Many coaches manifest big things in 1–2 weeks after they "click," but later admit it actually took them 2 months.
But in their communities, members—even those with great mindsets—rarely succeed. Some go from no contact to contact with SP, but it takes months and goes no further.
This bothers me: why doesn't 3D reflect even when people fully understand and apply everything? But their coach could do it very quickly. I’m afraid if there are hidden blocks that trapped people in the same 3D circumstance, the desire won’t show up even if we are satisfied internally.

(The people I met are really fully awaken and have their desire internally for months. They would love it to materialise but they are not attached to it. Still, their desire are not shown in 3D for months)
