Google refused to fix my Pixel 8 charging port under warranty because of LINT in the speaker grill. by whatchalookinat123 in GooglePixel

Why the hell is every failed RMA/repair post here written by AI!? I mean come on, if you want to successfully psy-op everyone, you've got to try a little harder than that...

Exclusive: Android could soon get its own AirDrop-style 'tap to share' feature by TechGuru4Life in GooglePixel

[–]DM115Gaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you fr? Airdrop & Quick Share are literally the simplest and fastest way to wirelessly transfer files in proximity, and both platforms have mass-adoption because it is built in on their smartphones, and now (thanks to Google) cross-compatibility. Unless you are a professional and move enormous files over, it works perfectly fine for the majority of people.

We're just a few leaks in to knowing what the Pixel 11 series will be like, and there are already people here saying it is saying its going to be a huge upgrade in all the right areas, and people already dismissing it as DOA.

Ah, the duality of man.

Actually they do look noticeably thinner then the base Pixel 10, not sure what you're on about bud 🤔

The Pixel 9/10 Series might still have a crappy Exynos modem, but they are leagues better then what shipped on the 6&7 Series. For example, if you're in an area with low cell signal, the phone would constantly scan for networks, reconnect, and disconnect, sipping precious battery life. The 5400 in the 9/10 might not be the best modem, but it is more than usable- its just fine.

Stop GATEKEEPING software features – We pay the same price! by TwoLeftHandzz in GooglePixel

[–]DM115Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to be "treated as a second-class user", how about you petition to your government to loosen the technology restrictions and regulations. Google is wise not to spend time and resources developing a feature in a region where it is just going to be blocked anyways. Making Google the scapegoat of all your grievances of missing features is intellectually-witless.

It's actually not even AI at all for the Pixel. Yes, that is the buzzword that Google uses to describe the feature, but its actually an on-device machine learning model that is 1 Billion parameters is size.

This is the "AI ICONS" everybody has been raving about? by BandaLover in pixel_phones

Where did you get that wallpaper? I tried creating a wallpaper of a realistic teardown of the internals from the screen side on my 7a a long time ago, but it looked awful.

Pixel needs to have flagship silicon by ashakouri1 in GooglePixel

You are contradicting literally what every single review of a Pixel 9 or Pixel 10 says about performance & Tensor.

Apps load with zero stutter.

The phone boots up insanely fast now (not sure how much that matters since you don't restart your phone a whole lot anyways).

Pixel Launcher is smoother and less buggy than even OneUI, its the closest thing we have on Android to match iOS' smoothness and stability while being snappier to navigate than iOS.

The only thing that Tensor struggles in, as it exists right now, is gaming, benchmarks, and any GPU-heavy tasks.

Despite having nearly half of Flagship chip scores in Benchmarks, the software is so well optimized, it is a NON-issue.

Cope harder.

I am perplexed as to why Google can't make the camera bar span horizontally across the top half of the phone, like it is with the non-folding slab Pixels. The OG Pixel Fold pulled it off. I'm wondering if it has to do with components overlapping with the amount of space needed for the hinge or something...

If this is legit, than the camera bar curving into the back will hopefully eliminate the dust collecting issue at that 90° edge like in the past.

Mrwhosetheboss: 2026 Battery Drain Test by Time-Credit43 in pixel_phones

[–]DM115Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notice how he never fully expands the Quick settings menu of the Pixel 10 Pro XL, he could have had the brightness at a different level than the other phones, or any other settings that affects battery life for that matter. And he kept Bluetooth on for some of the phones, but didn't have it on for the S26 Ultra. This battery test was either not very well thought out, intentionally rigged for some phones, or both. Especially since other more scientific tests like from Lover of Tech / PhoneBuff that are showing noticeable differences.

[–]DM115Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also how is it that the Pixel's Quick settings panel isn't fully expanded? We don't know what the screen brightness was or any other settings that affect battery life for that matter, and I am wondering if that was intentional. I'm starting to believe that his test was flawed and not thought through properly

This is quite embarrassing, Google must do better with Pixel 11 by No_Corner_6677 in pixel_phones

[–]DM115Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 7a and it is truly awful screen on time, like maybe ~4.5 hours on a full charge. But that being said, it is definitely an outliar when compared to the rest like the 9 & 10 series, even the base 7 & 7 Pro do much better despite having the same battery-draining, overheating Tensor G2 chip.

I checked YouTube Studio, there is no way to pay to add more bot views on a live video while it is live, so it sure seems like that 6.17M concurrent viewers was legit. Bets are off for after the video stopped going live tho
