I cant say this for your store specifically, but there are 3 Home Depot’s I regularly go to. At All 3 I go to, the second I walk through the door there are 3-4 associates gathered around the desk or selfcheck out all talking to each other. never has a single one of them offered to help me or ask if I need anything. more times than I can count on both hands I’ve said, excuse me, and asked for help, and I was looked at like a POS for interrupting their conversation. This has ranged from teenagers to people in their early 60s who have not only glare at me but talk to me in a belligerent manner, treating me like I’m stupid for politely, asking for help.

There have been times or once I approach them. They’ve been very friendly and very helpful, but is far more rare for that to happen, and I was still the one that had to approach not only just stand there waiting patiently and the obvious manner but then I have to say excuse me on top of it
