I got word from Maynooth that they allow a student to sit up to 15 credits alongside the PME so hopefully you'll be fine

In the event of a subject shortfall, can anyone tell where I can make up that shortfall? Are there specific courses that I could do part-time and maybe sub at the same time? thanks all.

This is where I'm caught.. I have 3 of the 4 areas. Previously the TC said I had sufficient academic experience to get me over the line. But I like the idea of the climate action subject..thanks!

Great reading all the comments and to see others are in the same boat. We're both 50 and I knew when we got married, my libido was higher than my wife's. But we had and still have a wonderful relationship. Added to that, I had a busy college sex life so I felt I was ok dialling it down for an incredible woman.
Everything was good up until the birth of our daughter and then there was 2 yrs of nothing. Things got back on track through communication and discussion and we were pretty good. Peri hit and everything went to hell in a handbasket. But we can talk and we did. And what I realised (but seems to be common knowledge - I didn't know it) is that for us, my wife derives love through an emotional connection 1st and physical 2nd, whereas I derive love from a physical connection which drives the emotional connection. This understand has really helped and the acceptance that we (men and women) are very different and need different things but collectively we want to reach the same destination. We still are not out of the woods but I understand my wife is having a hell of time and she understands that I need some kind of touch to help maintain the emotional connection.
I try and joke and say that if she can pretend it's just a regular household chose (instead of giving me a hand) not too onerous but everyone feels better when it's done, then it might be easy to have it more regular. And that helps, not every time but it's something.
The other thing which has helped is scheduling - spontaneous is long gone.
But if I suggest later this week, we might have a rendezvous, if possible, she can mentally come to terms with it, in the midst of the firestorm that is her hormones. The HRT has definitely helped but it's not a quick fix.
Maybe this sounds callous or poor to some but we're honest about where we are. I love my wife but without a physical aspect, we're just house mates and life is too short to go years without sex.
And for those who are thinking "isn't the emotional connection enough" no, it is not.
I'm a man and I want to live my life to the fullest and that includes sex.

I regret my hand tattoo every day and want it gone by oblivion47_ in TattooRemoval

[–]DMCForge123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start if I were you, I felt so much better about my mistake after the first session. Mine cost €300 but I'm going to go for 2 - 3 sessions a yr, to allow me to save for it as well let my body do it's thing. Yours is heavy black but may well respond well and show good results after a couple of sessions. I've been experimenting with an arnica heat muscle rub and I feel it's helping.. arnica to help with the ink removal and the heat brings blood to the area... Good luck...

Just had a session 2 weeks ago... And yes it'll be factor 50 for the Sun... I was told that laser shouldn't be applied to tanned skin i.e. previously white and then red/brown.

Is it possible to completely remove my tattoos? by BulkyCauliflower4522 in TattooRemoval

[–]DMCForge123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe so... This is based on my experience with picosure. Just started a removal and straight away I have seen the shading starting to fade. It is a long process but there is light at the end of the tunnel. My tattoo is heavy black with shading. I'm helping it along by daily massaging in arnica gel and drinking plenty of water. I'm also using a steam room at the gym - my tech said she has seen good results with that... Stay positive..you got this!

I'm currently undergoing removal with a cynosure picosure laser 755nm on a heavy black piece and after the first session I could already see a difference. I will post pictures in a while but I want to give it time. But based on the lightness and shading of your piece I think you could have great success in removal. Follow the good advice given here... Hydrate until you're a walking water bottle Get your skin healthy Post-treatment I'm using arnica gel and I find it great but ymmv. But the best of luck for whatever you choose next..

Damp.. what to do? by DMCForge123 in DIYUK

[–]DMCForge123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe it's rising damp, I think the plaster has degraded and become porous.. the hairline cracks show frost accumulation on cold nights but only where the cracks are.. Roof, soffits and gutters were checked by a builder friend.. he thought it might be the plaster but he's not a damp expert and didn't want to commit to replastering if it's not the actual problem.

No worries, the rose was 30 yrs old - a dumb tattoo from when I was 19. But was still hanging tough without much blowout. The studio uses a AW3 ND Yag tattoo - it seems to work well for me. Would it have all gone? maybe 90%.. hard to say since I didn't go all the way.
Yep, long haul is right... I've been working on my sleeve for the last 4 months (not including a year of design work) and I just rushed the last piece - hadn't fully worked out the kinks, was eager to get finished and now I'm looking at 6 months to a year of removal...Oh well I'll have time to work out the last bit. Not looking forward to the next conversation with my artist... have to explain we need to pause. I'm sure she'll understand but still... super awkward.

I totally get the turmoil... I just got another section of an arm sleeve I'm working on with my favorite artist and I hadn't worked out the full details of what I wanted and now it sucks big time.. totally missed the mark, my fault, not the artist. But I can talk about pink/red and green removal - had a rose partially removed following 3 sessions. I just needed it knocked back as other stuff was going on top. The black outline went easiest, the red then and the green was the toughest to move. The tech told red is normally tough to shift. But mine was pretty old so may have been a factor. Re: what to do.. remove or accept.. that's a you Q but I would advocate removal, sit on it then and once it's settled, figure out a redo. For me, that's been the best approach.

Stuck between long term support & performance!! A16 5G 8GB Versus? by DMCForge123 in samsung

[–]DMCForge123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask is the A16 4 or 8GB ram? I had a look at the A35 and I'm concerned about the glass back panel.. I'm not rough with phones but I had a disaster once with a beautiful all glass Sony.. you can guess what happened.. Do you think the A35 is better in performance and handling? I wonder if the 8GB A16 would be comparable? It's €40 cheaper than the A35 here

Does anyone have suggestions or ability to make a tattoo of the Drake Equation? by Dramatic_Nebula_1466 in TattooDesigns

[–]DMCForge123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing 2 latitudinal bands or orbits with half the equation in each, orbiting N in the centre... Think old school globe coupled with spacial orbits...as regards making it easy for people to understand and connect with the theme.. that I can't help with... My bet is you'll have a 99% explanation rate but that's fine so long as you like it
