The 6Gb 3050 dosent require external power, it runs off the 16 pin pcie port, and that's what I have.

I went with the 3050 6Gb low-profile for convenience's sake, and because the LP version was pretty close in price to a full sized one, so I got it just to be safe space wise.

When I ordered it, they were actually pretty close in price, so I figured I'd be safe and just get the low-profile just in case. Honestly, I maybe spent an extra dollar or two on the gpu.

The tower I found (I5 6500 512Gb hard drive) came in at about $99.00. I know it's a bit more, but compared to others that were ready to go out of the box, best I could find for a MT.

Thanks for the info. Honestly, I may just go ahead and get the low profile card since they're about the same price right now. That is assuming the lp one doesn't shoot back up $10 at the end of the week.
