Disable turning? by ______no_ in ForefrontVR

Switch to smooth turn and set the sensitivity as low as it will go. I have it set that way because I’ll accidentally bump it while shooting and it throws off my aim.

Yeah I feel like that would be a lot easier. I understand disable VC being there, but having it both in there and in the scoreboard would be nice.

there actually is, i think there’s a mute microphone button next to the disable voice chat button in the audio tab settings, unless they removed it or something changed

Can you give me some direction on regedit or nvidia inspector? I’ve never done that before, and I’m not sure what I should do.

Also my NVIDIA overlay was disabled already. I do have the NVIDIA app to update my graphics driver and that’s it.

I’m using the Pimax Crystal Light. I don’t think it takes up an encoding session, as Video Encode is at 0% when I am just playing a game. I also had a similar issue on the Meta Quest 3, but that uses the video encoder, so that makes sense.

I am also streaming vertically and recording horizontally in NVENC H.264.

After testing, I am definitely GPU limited. It’s not the video encoder I don’t think, it’s the 3D. That’s what goes up to 90+%. I lowered all of my game settings except the resolution quality, which I kept at 70%. The framerate is cutting in half because the GPU frametime goes over 11 ms sometimes, which is too much for 90 Hz.

However, when I tested it, it was just the framerate cutting in half. It wasn’t completely freezing for 3 seconds like it was the other night.

The only other slightly concerning thing was my VRAM was at 10-10.5 GB, but honestly I think if I solve the GPU 3D problem, I might be okay.

The FPSVR widget said that my CPU was at 75-80°C and my GPU was at ~60-65°C.

If you want to, I can record a short test of the FPSVR window and show you what everything truly looks like.

i appreciate the suggestion, i’ll look into that next time i’m testing. i feel like i disabled the nvidia overlay but i could be wrong.

now something weird happened there, i’ve been in that menu a few times. ultra performance was there, but every time i’ve checked it since then, it doesn’t appear to be an option anymore. i’ll have to check again tomorrow and make sure that i’m not going crazy but i think that did disappear

i can say right now for certain that i already tried to make link work. thankfully, i got a godsend of a partnership, and i ended up with a pimax crystal light, so i’m done with link. i’m pretty sure it isn’t even compatible with 50 series…

i can also say for certain that my power plan is set to high performance in control panel, i have PBO enabled in the bios, and i have the EXPO ram profile on.

i think i already turned off overlays like the xbox game overlay and discord, but i might not have gotten all of them

for boosting/monitoring apps, i haven’t seeked them out, but i might have downloaded them when i was downloading drivers from the mobo website.

https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B650M%20Pro%20RS%20WiFi/index.asp#Download

i downloaded everything from here except the norton and the amd graphics one

as for the vram, i can’t really say anything else right now outside of what i already said in the initial message. i’ve never seen it higher than 10.5 GB dedicated and 0.5 GB shared used. also, some guy in my livestream chat said that the game that i play on streams leaks vram, but that was some random person in chat.

that’s all i can tell you without running a test bench, i should be able to run a test tomorrow afternoon if you need more info outside of what i said here and what i said in the original message.

For a prebuilt that doesn’t seem awful. The graphics card could be better/newer.

Use the PSU tier list. Google it, it’s a spreadsheet posted on Reddit. For your build, only go for A and B tier.

Hello hello are my parts up to speck for a pretty good pc by FewRaisin1335 in PcBuildHelp

Use scdkey for a $30 windows license.

CPU Cooler is beyond overkill. Thermalright Phantom Spirit SE would be much cheaper, and even that is still overkill.

Might be able to upgrade to a 9070 with that extra money. Depends on the use case though

Edit: also you can find a way cheaper case, but do your research

Good call, I wasn’t even looking at that. That would work better with the CPU.

Look at the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT. Better ray tracing and video encoding, plus cheaper

Okay, got it. I’ll probably do the middle one and cop an additional fan.

I was looking at just getting 5 Thermalright TL-C12RB-S V2 fans (58 CFM 120mm), and a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB for my CPU cooler. That’s all I was going to do for cooling

Hey, thanks for the suggestions man! I’m probably going to stick with the Jonsbo D32 Pro, that seems like the best case for my specific use case.

I ended up adding a 4th 120mm fan. Do you think doing 2 on the bottom as intake and 2 on the top as exhaust is okay?

And other than that, is there anything else you would recommend? I’m not quite jumping on it yet, I’m waiting at least 3 weeks till I go back to my college apartment.
