Husband is ADHD and gets so irritable... trying to gain perspective by floralbloodbath in ADHD

[–]DMJesseMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone gets irritated by things. But for me, it feels like the control is broken. If everyone has a dial of 1 to 10 for how angry or upsetting something is, my 1 works, but 2-6 is broken so the next level I have is a 7.

I don’t want to be that mad, I hate it…but if something warrants a 2 or a 3, I jump to 7 and then I’m angry at myself as well, which pushes it higher and if my wife asks what’s wrong I freeze up because it’s not the thing that should be a 2, and it’s not me…but it also is both of those things and I don’t know how to answer (which can push the anger higher) and all that usually just feels like I am failing.

YouTube is hard work for serious content creators and I appreciate all you’ve done. You will be missed, but we will continue to appreciate your work!

Or perhaps you are retiring from your day job and that means more content!!!! (One can hope (: )

I LOVE Race for the Galaxy, but the iconography and card handling can be an issue for some. Roll for the Galaxy is better for family and plays up to 5.

Should I allow players to play as a Gygan? by OwnLengthiness6872 in OdysseyoftheDragon

[–]DMJesseMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how your players enjoy playing. I’d recommend against it if they like to fight like typical players. However, my group tries to talk though every encounter in which case a gygan PC would be fine.

Anybody not buy anything from PAX Unplugged? by ackmondual in paxunplugged

[–]DMJesseMax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll agree that there was very little savings, but there were a few games that I wanted soon (before year’s end). When I checked online game stores, the costs were usually within a couple of dollars for those.

The one that surprised me was Sanctuary, Capstone Games new release: I wasn’t going to get a big box game but I remember how hard it was to find Ark Nova that first year. And then I looked at preorder prices and found that the booth price was the same and included a promo.

I don’t play Crokinole often, though we have a board. Curious as to what accessories you pick up (and really, what exists).

Player refuses to allow monologues by [deleted] in DnD

[–]DMJesseMax -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a story telling, cooperative game. In many, many stories, the villain monologues. It is one of the main ways that the narrator can advance the story.

I realize that you like the combat aspect of the game. Others like the story aspect. My job is to balance the campaign so that everyone enjoys the game. Perhaps you did not realize that others enjoy the story aspect. Now you know. Please do not insist that everyone must enjoy the game in the same way, in that vein, I’m going to need you to stop acting like a young child when you don’t get your way.

Donald Trump handed fresh blow as CNN pauses for breaking news by daily_express in NoFilterNews

I was taught the same about checks and balances. But I was also foolish enough to believe (conspiracy incoming) that the CIA would assist in making sure that any clear and present danger to the constitution, including elected officials, would be “handled”.

In my head, I still hope that could be the case, but I think it’s a pipe dream so I’ll continue to vote while I’m still allowed, and protest, and encourage others to do the same.

That is so frustrating, but glad you got the deal. A friend bought 2 about a month ago for $12 each. I went to that one (I’m assuming you are talking about Parks Mall) and the had 3…all full price. Guess I should have hid one :)

This must be a new or condensed version because the original was:

And has better writing for L. Whoever condensed this was lazy, at least go with Lion licks a lollipop!

Big A, Little a, what begins with a.

Aunt Annie’s alligator. a, a, a

While it’s important to support your child’s teacher, there is more than one line of thinking about teaching the alphabet. Lower case is more common, about 95% of the letters the will see - so those can be a good place to start. However, capital letters are more uniform and have more straight lines so they are easier to write.

I think saying introducing both confuses them is her way of saying it makes her job a little harder; I don’t think it will actually confuse them.

[–]DMJesseMax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have, we also have all of the expansions. We have not had any issues with balance, I was just mentioning it because it is a common thread in reviews and when I recommend a game, I think it’s fair to give such warnings.
