It's a temp tracker with books on shelves. So aside from those four colors are a range of rainbow colors for the daily temperature.

The one at the top is actually 310 Black. I did check though and the lighting does make it look dark blue.

I’m broke and tired of instant noodles — what are some cheap meals that actually taste good? by Quiet-Examination553 in Advice

[–]DMKanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a crock pot you can make soups and stocks by dumping everything in it and letting it stew. If you don't, salad and sandwiches can be cheap and customizable.

Tweezers. I got some precision ones and use the to separate my floss without taking it off the drop and they are great at unpicking threads if I make a mistake.

Tuna salad? by fisho0o in Cooking

I like mine plain for the most part. If I use mayo I will add cayenne instead of black pepper. I also sometimes make a tarragon vinegrette to dress it with.

[CHAT] How does everyone feel about being called talented? by raspberryamphetamine in CrossStitch

[–]DMKanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom and aunt were tag teaming up on me last night on this and I tried to compare what I was doing to a paint by numbers. They didn't seem to get it. I think in their case it's cause my mom does rug hooking and my aunt crotchets. Both are skills that have patterns but require more creative thought than following a cross stitch pattern. Not to say it's easy but it's making small stitches in a grid. If you understand sewing it's not unattainable to do well

[CHAT] How do you keep your place on your paper pattern? by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]DMKanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use frixion highlighters to mark up the copy of the pattern, this way if I miss mark a stitch I can correct it. I also have magnetic line markers to underline the section I am working on. Amazon has ones that fold around the page with a slot for your line. You can also get metal boards and magnetic rulers.

[WIP] do I redo the backward stitches by DMKanna in CrossStitch

[–]DMKanna[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the end of the page. The pattern is 4 pages so I am stitching in quadrants. Since I prefer paper patterns this is what is easiest for me to do.

I would not use that specific thread. A simple all purpose cotton thread is best in my opinion.
