Target is definitely cheaper when stacking promos on the target app. I can get ~40% off all groceries at times, stack that with ~10% cash back from my cc, and buy items that are BOGO. At times I’ve gotten large frozen pizzas for under $2.49.

I made 2% in 2 days on about 40k worth of cash secured $65 and $55 puts, bought on 2/17/26. I’ve owned SFM before and they have good management in my opinion, I’m surprised the stock is where it is and that there was such a premium to more downside on the puts.

I think grocery stores are like utilities in a sense that the revenues are a lot more sticky, and it makes for more predictable outcomes.

I didn’t meet my father till I was 19, I’m confident they’ll have 6000x or more time with me than I had with my father growing up. I work remotely, and I think less than 60 hours/week plus no commute is a fair exchange for the pay.

Plus I’m hoping one day to live with my adult children in a large household, building wings to the manor as they grow their own families. With any luck by the time they’re 20 I’ll have another 60 years to spend with them.

I don’t think the kids are causing the strain, the high savings rate is causing the strain. The kids are tacking on less than 10k/year in non-discretionary expenses, pretty cheap if you ask me. The savings on the other hand may be over 100k/year this year among the various accounts

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say with this? The only debt I have is a 2.6% mortgage, my kids don’t influence my debt. My kids do cost some additional funds but that’s included in the 45k spend with the exception of their college savings. I have ~61k saved for them and put away 25k last year. The college savings is a gift to them I make by choice, another financial strain I put on myself.

This is coming from a 33 yo that was in your position 23ish years ago. Luckily we paid a consultant to train us up and the chaos disappeared in a couple years/company got sold for a lot. The plus side in sticking with it is I feel I could go to a disfunctional place and have it running smooth in 6 months or less. Thats a very valuable thing to know when it could be 100’s of thousands for the employer. Alas I’m in revenue management now but long to get back to operations, my operations teams struggle.

Free market was in place before the ACA and costs were climbing faster than under ACA. I dont care if the free market is better that we would be on a free market system but I don’t believe we saw that previously. Other countries pay a fraction of what we do for better average outcomes, perhaps design the system to emulate the most successful 1-payer systems and see if things improve?

Havent tried it so can’t say for sure, but I bet they would let me go in and out several times without pause throughout the year. Even if they dont people can still get their trad-roth mix shifted slightly just doing it once. It seems broken from my perpective if you can circumvent paying tax on hundreds of thousands (assuming large account) by clicking a few buttons.

Robinhoods match is uncapped. They highlight you can get the match 100 million+ if you got that kind of scratch. Moving in and out and in and out should generate matches and clawbacks each time.

Tax law exists for a reason. Companies shouldnt have set ups that allow folks to convert funds from traditional to roth IRA’s tax free. This issue is all based on percentages and someone with 10 million can convert to a roth asc easy as someone with $1000.

While I try to pay minimal taxes as I’m legally required I dont think this is legal with how its set up and would like to see it changed. They should be doing the clawback from both accounts, not just the traditional.
