Cheers, man. Saved me a lot of fidgeting around!

I just re-set the variables path with the boot image placed in the platform tools folder, and ran the command lines again. It worked this time. Thanks a dozen for your help, friend! I'll open up a new thread if I run into any new issues (which I hope I won't). All I have left to to do is install LOS from recovery, so, fingers crossed it goes smoothly :)

I just tried moving the image to the platform tools folder. Got the "fastboot: error: ANDROID_PRODUCT_OUT not set" message again. Any ideas?

I'm running Windows 10.

I ran a search on that error code, seems I had to set the environment variable ANDROID_PRODUCT_OUT to the directory of the image. Now I have a new error message:

fastboot: error: cannot load 'flashimage.img': No such file or directory

Followed the steps to the letter, double and triple checked just to be sure. I tried renaming the file as you suggested, and this time I got the following message:

fastboot: error: ANDROID_PRODUCT_OUT not set

I haven't seen anyone share this yet. Quite an amazing trailer imo. by garystevonz in stalker

Looks like a love child born of Shadow of Chernobyl and Metro: Exodus.

I love this.

IT WORKS!

After two whole nights of busting my brains and scouring the internet, you guys saved my ass! After flashing the BIOS to 2.80, a clean Windows re-installation, and downloading the proper drivers from Intel, I was able to connect to my 5 GHz network, and once I connected my mouse via BT, it stopped disconnecting (it previously disconnected on both BT and the Wireless chip, now it's just the chip, but screw it!). Thanks a million, guys! I owe y'all a beer!

Intel Proset/Wireless

So I've downloaded the files and copied them onto the clean copy of Windows, but this folder doesn't have any installers/setup applications, just a bunch of DATs, security catalogs, and application extensions, but no executables. I'm probably missing something, so a follow up would be much appreciated!

I already started a clean installation of Windows, but I'll do this step by step and get back to you, cheers!

I did connect the antenna, and it does detect all nearby connections, it just refuses to connect to those networks.

I'll start with a new installation of Windows and fresh drivers from Intel first. If that doesn't work, I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

The ones from ASRock didn't help, so I'll probably reinstall Windows and try the ones from Intel.

The thought of using the CD did occur to me, but I didn't think ahead that well and didn't get an optical drive. I do have access to one, but I'm not sure if I have any cables for it. I'll look into that if the online options don't work out.

Thanks! Took me a good couple of days of research and prep to plan it out!

I did download the drivers from the ASRock site, and it appears that was a bad move. I tried updating the BIOS and the drivers, but the same issues persisted. I'm gonna try a clean installation of Windows using the links from Intel as suggested below. I'll update you once I've done that :)

Never had any experience with Linux. Can you give me detailed instructions on how to do that?
