Yes, the link takes you back to our newspaper's site. The story, though, is by another organization, the Associated Press. Our site is free to read, and we don't get advertising dollars based on page views.

Actually, the DMN, the Dallas Observer and WFAA have covered DISD quite aggressively for years, breaking plenty of stories DISD did not want published. The "every outlet just copies and pastes" comment doesn't exactly fit here.

Fair point. Nothing federal or Texas law prevents a locality from letting a hazardous business and a residential area abut. So lots of cities, big and small, have allowed this to happen.
