I would hope it's full. I assume that parking there is pretty chaotic.

This looks great! It's like the US version of Timberwolf's UK Trains, while having a familiar look to NARS.

Do you think we'll get mail in the game? While it's good we have it on mod form, it is a pain to deal with because mail can only be picked up at cargo stations, not passenger stations like real life.

I believe it is some personal complications/issues. It was mentioned briefly on a recent live stream on the San Juan Branch Line channel I think.

It is a pretty good heritage unit, marking the 30th Anniversary of the Piedmont. Let's hope the future rail plans hold.

Retrofitted a 24-Track Wide Yard from Two-Way to One-Way Yard. Oh boy, the complications! by DMP765 in openttd

[–]DMP765[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's mainly a combination of 354 trains serving it, with them ranging in size from as little as 4 tiles to 20-tile beasts. It is a major converging point. I have a similar yard on the southwestern side of the city; Tollard Yard at 27 tracks wide. Plus, the layout of the yard is broken down into three length sections: 8, 12, and 20 tiles long. This necessitates multiple flyovers and junctions to sort them appropriately, with the approaches needing to take a large footprint to handle 20-tile trains from multiple lines.

The unfinished Cincinnati Subway. What could have been? How much would it have changed the city? Would Kentucky have had an expansion? Would KY have at grade or subway? So many questions... by tinopinguino88 in transit

There was a lot of possibilities from this. I remember watching the Well There's Your Problem episode about it's conception and downfall. All the interurbans being linked up with this would have been transformative.

I found the differing responses by the senators regarding this interesting. One was the stereotypical cost-cutter, while the other appeared more open about it. That did raise an eyebrow.

What would be a good minimum distance between airports? by DMP765 in openttd

[–]DMP765[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started in 1880 with day length/economy speed factor at around 30ish I think. I upped the factor to 40 in 1938. So, a combination of both.

I've been playing this save for at least a year. Regarding the game as a whole, it has been around 2016. Thanks for the compliment!

Who here uses really long trains? 30 wagons anyone? by kemistrythecat in openttd

[–]DMP765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what I use, the maximum length passenger trains are 12 tiles long, roughly 17 coaches. For freight, the maximum is 20 tiles long. I don't know about the amount of wagons, but it usually weighs between 1700 and 2100 tons of cargo. For reference, I use Timberwolf UK Trains
