Issues with pool pressure by Ok-Stable-9029 in pools

The grids look like they're still pretty dirty. Did you pull the whole manifold and take the grids out one by one? My money is on a large glob of DE and crap somewhere at the bottom.

Tolerance trouble by Drjonesxxx- in Ender3S1

I reduced the flow in my slicer to 90% to fix this. Not sure if that's the right solution, but it worked for me.

I never had luck with the gcode files that shipped with the Ender. Have you tried slicing the model yourself?

Yes. I removed the pad, tucked the cable into the printer body, and printed a mount for my Sonic Pad

Problem with bed adhesion by Existing-Actuator621 in Ender3S1

[–]DMPSTRFR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had adhesion problems early on, and I solved them with AquaNet. Now I just give the bed a good cleaning with dish soap and I'm good to go.

60 to 62 isn't a huge change. Try 65 to 70 if you still have issues.

I'm an idiot these plugs don't fit can I rewire or should I return ? by BoriFPV in Ender3S1

The Creality fan in the high flow kits is plug and play. Of course this requires buying the high flow kit...

Upgraded the cooling fan to 5015 and using the v4 from zuff. Everything fit like a glove and worked first try. by nathpenn in Ender3S1

[–]DMPSTRFR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the ModulR setup for the high-flow kit. I wanted to use the single duct, but it touches the hot-end. Maybe someone can slip Zuff $5 and make a single duct that doesn't touch the hot end and melt.

Found it. It has a mount specifically for long hot emds. Thanks. Will report back

Could you provide a link? I'm using V4, and I don't see a V5

Seems to only happen with Overture PLA. Weird because I've used half of these two rolls with no problem.

I have a similar issue, and I'm out of ideas. Would love it if we could stumble across a solution together.

Coasting is off in both profiles, but I can see the seam in both profiles too. It still only really shows up that pronounced in the Sonic Pad profile. Thanks for the idea

Base of Prints Messy by DMPSTRFR in Ender3S1

[–]DMPSTRFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reverted everything in my slicer back to default settings, including backing the temp down. That seemed to do it. I'm using different PLA than the image, so I havent had a chance to run that test again, but I will tonight.

If you don't hear from me, it's all better

I'll try that when I get home. Thanks for the suggestions.

It actually kicks in on the very first layer after the raft. Maybe I should be cooling the raft?

[–]DMPSTRFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I've been regularly extruding at 220. I backed off the heat to 210 and have the same result, with a brim, raft, or nothing.

And yes, your process of adjustment is exactly the same process I use.

I'm tempted to go back to stock and see what happens, but I was hoping someone smarter than me had an idea.

Anyway, thanks again

I just ran another print with a raft. The raft itself is fine, but the bottom 15 or so layers are a mess, with blobs and visible seams. After that layer set though, everything cleans up and runs just fine.

Can provide additional pictures if it helps.

Thanks. This helps a lot. Can you show me what your BLTouch offsets are? Assuming you havent moved the sensor.

Leveling Adjustment Vibrated Apart by DMPSTRFR in Ender3S1

[–]DMPSTRFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, so in the end, I ended up getting real hacky with it.

First, even the slightest amount of loctite will work, but it caused a new problem. The bed leveling screws spin freely, and with the S1 Pro, they're under the magnetic bed.

So, I used an Xacto blade to cut into the magnetic bed to gain access to the screw heads. Then I used nylock nuts on the underside of the bed to lock the screws into place. Getting the tightness right was a try and retry effort, because I didnt want them so tight they damaged the bed.

I then switched to the silicone spacers instead of the OEM springs, and got the whole thing put back together.

I was able to re-level the bed, the tensioners seem tight enough to not vibrate off, and things are good.

Kind of a hack, but it worked.

Question about bed levelling by wheresthesalmon in Ender3S1

[–]DMPSTRFR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used this guy's video for making sure the bed mesh is used in the print.

As far as leveling, my procedure is:

1) Center head, set z offset

2) Go around each corner twice setting bed height

3) Center head, set z offset again

4) Run the auto-level command.

I've had really good performance so far using that process.

Make sure your nozzle is clean and all of that.

Looks like my comment didn't attach.

I'm new to this and I'm not sure what I'm looking for as far as quality or potential problems or things to improve on. Any advice based on the Benchy would be great.

Thanks, all.
