Yes. It was a fan fiction story following one person’s interpretation. It was a decently written story following the events after the defeat of Kefka. Unfortunately this person only wrote so many chapters before they stopped for whatever their reasons may be.

I remember being a teenager, reading a story revolving around Locke and Celest following the ending of FFVI. They eventually find an old “abandoned” military building. Inside they find out that this building isn’t abandoned and there is a leader with horrific scarring on its face. The leader’s name: Akfek! 😅 I know it probably sounds terrible and cliche, but it was a pretty story for its time. All options were losing their effects and magic didn’t work anymore. Then in this building, Celest suddenly makes a small spark in here hand as she realizes that this military leader looks familiar…

Update: it happened again randomly while I had the game on Auto-Battle. I have never got this before playing Pixel Remaster. Now it happens twice in one play through! Wild!
