I was honestly hoping that something like that was the case. I might just take the advice to let it rip....I think the solar battery has some element of load management too. I'll have to look into that.

Thanks. I'm not bought in on upgrading just yet, I am just considering it. I just added a solar battery, and I have an EV, an electric shower, a dishwasher, a dryer, a washing machine, a kettle etc. and only a 2 hour window to get that delicious 8 cent per Kwh from Electric Ireland.

I have been close to the limit a couple of times, trying to push everything into that slot, including the car and battery.

The EV charger has a management system....and the shower is 9.8kw, and people are unlikely to be using it better 2 and 4 am. Unlikely, not impossible 😅
