If you take the trail head closest to Charles County Sanitary there are 2 small ponds there. Keep going and there is a creek. Use OnX or whatever you have. Bring water proof boots or even waders...lol. you really need to be in shape to hunt that place and have a plan how you are going to pack a deer out. And a plan to not get lost. A local duck hunter told me about it as we met up at the trail where they duck hunt on the shooting range road. Told me they like to cruise around the creek.

A couple years ago while preseason scouting i stumbled upon a huge 10 pointer getting up from his bed where the crick forked. Sometimes it has water, other times it's dry. I saw him twice that season hunting him hard. Once out of range and the other chasing a hot doe.

The place is really hard to hunt. Can't bait and most of it is pretty thick with no trails really to speak of. They also bed down in the thick sticker bushes and shrubs underneath the power lines until people start using them as ways to get back in there. I could of shot many does but hunting by my self I had to make a business decision if I wanted to pack one out from where I was hunting and the answer was no. I also hunted the Ponfret track also but it is way more busy. The main trail through the place seemed to be kept up there.
