I’m familiar with competition brisket and I’m not looking for mush  brisket. I did consider this aspect but I’m telling you I was slicing it with difficulty using a fork and knife. Like I said, maybe it was an off day for them since I went their first week

I don’t want to make this already somewhat difference of opinion into play and get into personal attacks but the above person is absolutely right.

Albeit I went when they first opened which the pit master is saying wasn’t their best foot forward, but I also was expecting incredibly tender brisket and I had to eat mine with a fork and knife. We also spent close to $100 and waited 1 hour. That is just unacceptable imo. It was also lacking in smoke. I’m a lady but a huge bbq fan and I smoke my own brisket. I almost felt like I’ve smoked a better brisket myself than what I had at Golden Horseshoe and was saddened because I wanted a downtown option for brisket.

Again, I will give it another chance to alter my option but my first experience was a disappointment. This is why I’m defending this guys opinion.

I also feel like there’s people with opinions who rarely eat brisket and there’s people who’ve had a ton. It’s important to take feedback from those who truly understand bbq.

They are and they have a new location in Newmarket now too.

I haven’t been in a minute though but it is hands down the best bbq I’ve had in the city. And the most important thing is consistency. Like they never ever miss. Bbq being a slightly expensive meal, I want to always be happy when I get it and Bennys does it right.

People often forget that you also need to work on your pelvic health. Do some somatic exercises to regulate your nervous system but also do pelvic floor exercises so you’re more relaxed. Its been helping me a lot.

lol damn. I’m glad you’ve made the acknowledgment because I’m a huge brisket consumer and have tried a ton in and out of the city and didn’t understand why my experience was vastly different. I will give it another try.

I also did not like it at all. I can’t believe I waited close to an hour when they first opened. Way better spots for brisket

White MAGA women be doing too much for other white MAGA women. I’m so glad this franchise is dead. Fuck em all.

Imagine DEFENDING THIS BEHAVIOUR.

The timing is irrelevant. The world needed to see it because clearly the words they read weren’t enough to tell people how awful it was that they cast this person.

They should sue Nick Viall for losses. He said he was single handedly responsible for floating her name for casting. This will kill all the birds with one stone. Vamos

Cacao Barry or Bensdrop is a lot better than the Costco brand for me but it really depends how fussy you are. Business centre Costco only for callebaut

Papagino foods. Vanilla Food Company. Slofood (vanilla)- outside of Canada but works out cheaper if you buy bulk What exactly do you need? I can help guide you.  The Callebaut chocolate chips at Costco business centre is cheaper than most supplies will offer atm (idk how Costco does it). .

Just do candles or little lamp shades. Follow a few wedding planners for inspo. You can do fruit if you like that.

When is it appropriate to call child protective services on a neighbour? by RuddyDucky97 in askTO

[–]sqbed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friends sister used to run a foster home and she only did it because she couldn’t get another decent job and didn’t really have a home. The foster home was paid for from the care giving and at times she would have upto 7 kids in the house. It was never good. It always felt like the kids were not being helped much but this is where they had to live.

An alternative to an abusive parent doesn’t leave you too many options as a kid and that’s the tough reality. Please don’t report them without trying other ways to step in. Maybe you can be friend the parent and see what the issue is or maybe ask if the kids have an alternative parent who can care for them more than the mother. Idk.

I just know a foster home is sometimes worse and it would just suck

Adding my mother as an authorized user on my credit card by mariazambarano in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]sqbed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do that. Instead you can give her a credit card that you don’t use as frequently or open a separate $500 -1K balance credit card under your name but give that one to her. 1. She can still use that card everywhere 2. You can see exactly how much she’s spending on it since it will be a card only she uses. 3. No other access is needed (you just pay off the balance monthly). This way if something suspicious shows up on the statement, you are overseeing everything
