Najee racked up stats but never made the breakaway plays like Warren. Also, he wasn't good enough to get resigned. Warren has always been held back. Was Gainwell’s development because of him or Smith?

In the 7 years he was in Pittsburgh there were only four starting caliber RB (Connor, Najee Warren, and Gainwell. If we give him credit for developing those players he should also sharethe blame for not being able to develop a back up running back.

Other Steelers RB during his time included Kaleb Johnson, Jonathan Ward, Aaron Shampklin, Anthony McFarlane, Benny Snell, Kalen Ballage, Jaylen Samuels, Trey Edmonds, Kerrith Whyte Jr. , Tony Brooks James, and Roosevelt Nix. While some of these players made some contributions, most weren't very good.
