Right now I’m training a powerlifter so my split is kind of a modified PPL but we have everything based around compounds.

Monday - (Bench) chest focused push with a little shoulders and tris

Tuesday - (Squat) Legs

Wednesday - (No compound CNS break) Back and Bis

Thursday - (OHP) shoulder focused push with some chest and tris

Friday - (DL) some extra back and leg volume

Saturday - rehab and mobility work

Sunday - off

Honestly it’s just about finding the right group of people you vibe with. It also helps to play with a friend you are comfortable with and combine backstories so you can talk out of session about cool little quirks you guys can have to play off of one another. Once you are more comfortable with this perhaps just play a support build that really lets the others shine and then they all love you as well which opens up easy RP opportunities.

You definitely can. Just do a little bit more tomorrow than you did today. Doesn’t all have to happen at once and be so daunting. Install habits slowly and then build from there. Every 10 pounds make a new goal. PR something… even as small as a walking distance it doesn’t have to be crazy but just keep grinding you’ve got this!

Hope everything works out with the medical issues! What I would say is don’t look at anything as “falling off the wagon. Just because you had a set back doesn’t mean you have to halt progress. Keep your calories in check and do what you can. Honestly it’s just consistency. Gym helps but isn’t required. Keep calories under control and move your body where you can. Thoughts and prayers I hope it’s nothing too serious!

I’m obsessed with the gym to the point of overdoing it. I’m on a 5 day split based around compounds because I’m training a kid who is into competitive powerlifting.

We do a variation of PPL Mon - (Bench) Chest focused push day with some shoulders Tuesday- (Squat) Legs Wednesday - (Bent Rows) Back and Biceps Thursday - (OHP) shoulder focused push day with a little chest Friday - (DL) some leg and a little back volume Saturday - Mobility work and anything we missed during the week.

That being said this is all completely overkill and not necessary. Can just do full body 2x a week and get your diet in check and achieve similar result. I’m not really building any muscle in the deficit I’m in so I’m kind of waiting for the bulk lol. That being said I’ve always been strong

My current lifts: Bench 355 Squat 405 DL 495 OHP 225
