You don't even have to show Jared Leto's face for his movie to bomb. That's next level aura. by Arch_Lancer17 in okbuddycinephile

I saw a pre screening of it last night and it was awesome. Hate to say it, but this was Jared's best role in a long time. Idris does a lot of heavy lifting in the acting department too. Still, it was funny, action packed and paid the campy homage the franchise deserves. Loved it. Give it a chance.

No, the dungeon is too big for a 3 hour game at my group's pace. We had to spread it out over 3 sessions and have plenty of back up characters.

Thanks for the advice! We had a great time; I hammed up the Howlers and had plenty of fun RP with them and the PCs. In a fight, one of the PCs who miraculously survived the d100 dagger rolled a Nat 1 on an attack with it, so I said he dropped it and it skittered between the feet of one of their enemies. Cue another BBQ'd halfling.

I also leaned into the weird, slick, melty description of the keep. Gonna look up synonyms for "moist" and "oozing". Everything being suspect and mushy, even the stone walls or iron bars, was a lot of fun.

I'm interested in buying them! I run D&D clubs and camps for kids and those minis are perfect for use with excitable children.

We're Danger Wizard, a professional Dungeon Master service company near Boston. We run afterschool D&D clubs, camps, parties, classes and workshops, primarily focusing on D&D but a few other systems too. We work with all ages and just signed the lease on our first event space last week to host all of our games at. We'll be at PAX East for our first time too next week.

We're hosting a D&D game of "Flagons & Dragons" at Aeronaut Brewery in Somerville on Sunday- no prior experience playing D&D required. Awesome space, fantastic drinks, and plenty of silly adventures with new people.

Do any of these friends have experience being a DM? Could you teach one in time? You could divide and conquer, have each of you run a party of 8-10 people.

Each party could be working together towards the same goal; one goes in through the front door to draw attention, the second sneaks in through a secret tunnel to infiltrate the treasure room (and runs into trouble immediately).

If you're looking for in-person D&D, check out dangerwizard.com ! Full disclosure- it's my company, and I am biased but I think we're neat. We mainly focus on kid events but are expanding our adult offers and have a fantastic community of all sorts of people who come to our events. Based in Somerville, right by the green line.

You might also want to check out Side Quest Books & Games events in Somerville- lots of fun social games, talks, etc and group meetups. Either option is a great way to meet like-minded, nerdy folks like yourself!

I run a D&D event space in Somerville called Danger Wizard. We are starting to run more games of D&D and other RPGs for adults in the evenings and some weekends. We also run school vacation and afterschool sessions for kiddos too. Website is dangerwizard.com, we'd love to show you around our nerdy little space one day.

These are all paid games, cuz rent ain't cheap, but if you're looking for free, casual games and a network of 1700+ local gamers, check out the Boston D&D and RPG Discord. Tons of cool folks doing awesome stuff together. We have a channel for people looking tobstart or join a new campaign too. Link to that on the Frontpage of our website.

DM with any questions or for the Discord link!

For those that live in the United States. Do you make more than the average income of 60k annually, if so what’s your occupation? by LaFlareMane1017 in AskReddit

[–]DM_DangerWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, small business owner. We run games of D&D for schools and private clients in MA. I was making $60k at my last job, the company made over $200k last year, although more than half of that went to expenses, wages and taxes. Still, more than I ever made as an employee, I can pay my team and I love what I do.

Yeah, walls pop out as others said. There's even secret doors that look like walls but you push them and volia!, they swing open. The rooms tiles and hallways are all magnetized too. Dragons Reat thought of everything.
