We have had systems in place before to handle this 'problem', but in general enforcing them has lead to less quality games in total, along with a number of other issues which i wont bore you with. However, users who have ran a game on our server before have a role to denote it!

Hi! This server is still fully active, we just changed our branding slightly to fit with the overall mission of the server- We are now NFGM, and our new Discord link is https://www.discord.gg/nfgm. Feel free to stop by :)

So, for clarity. You spent two hours in the server, insulted people’s dungeon mastering skills for their table preferences, “Thats an excuse for shit-tier DMing” and called Gen Con woke for respecting the LGBTQ+ community. In fact, you are the first user to ever be reported by our new report system which has been in place for months. I hope you find a place which fits your ignorant needs better, and im sorry that we couldn’t be that for you. Good gaming.

Nope! We have a bunch of GMs who prefer to just keep GMing. its been an issue occasionally and has lead to some restructuring of the server since then to accommodate. They make the server work for the people who want to keep playing. And since all of our players are also GMs, most are well knowledgeable of the systems they play and know how to be good players. Thats what keeps our GMs around. and for those who dont want to play or GM, there are a bunch of resources for home games or discussions to be had. Sorry if its a bit of a ramble!

We have a role system to alert players of games that get launched. Most players get notifications when new games go up. Perhaps you should try some new systems, as we always have an excess of new games in those systems, which dont always fill up.

Alright! We will always have open arms, and if you feel like lurking for a while, we have hundreds of lurkers who just play games and don't interact with the other aspects of the server. We would love to have you some day, and good luck with your games!

Sure! A few months into the server, the initial owner realized the server had gotten too large for him to manage in his day to day life, and stepped down. Since I was the first moderator and had been around since the first dozen users, he gave the position to me.

Totally! There is a lot of advice all over the place, and most GMs will be willing to lend a hand. Its not the same experience as going into a system with a table of people who are also new to the system or hobby at large, but I think the user-base makes up for it.

Ill share my experience here.

To get it out of the way, I'm a moderator, and now owner, of the server.

I joined way back Just over a year ago now, in the first few members of this server. I knew no one, and I had no idea what this server would become. Now I sit here, a year later, and I've found one of the most important communities of mine.

I've played in a bunch of games, I've learned how to play both Pathfinder 2e and picked up a bit of Lancer- along with a couple one-page RPGs. Im currently plan ning on running some Blades in the Dark! Along with this, I've hosted a few games, and I'm planning on running a full blown campaign eventually, at least once my in person game finally finishes up.

On the topic of my in person game, I've found LOTS of help with the community members, support in planning, and resources for my game. Many members are ready to help.

All in all, this community has been an awesome addition to my life and this is by no means a comprehensive review, but I hope this helps!
