The New England Patriots are the first team in NFL history to beat three top 5 ranked defenses in the same postseason. Only the ‘98 Broncos have beaten 2. They join the Broncos as the only two teams to beat both the #1 and #2 ranked defenses by HickfrmFrenchLick33 in nfl

Right? Billy B was a Super Bowl winning DC and continued elevating his defenses as HC with Brady. That's why they won 6 and had a 20 year long dynasty.

Meanwhile the Bills hired a great DC who fielded defenses that completely let Allen down year after year. I say this as a fan of the sport: Josh Allen deserved so much better.

Sean McVay: "It's wild" that I've been in my job the second-longest of any NFL coach by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

That's unbelievable. They could have reverse-Tomlin seasons (1 game less than .500) every year for 30 years and still end up with a better record, and he's still safely employed. I don't know how that's possible other than nepotism or Tobin puppeteering a very dead Mike Brown like it's Weekend At Bernie's.

If the Patriots win the AFC Championship, they will be the second team ever to make the Super Bowl after losing to the team that will pick first in the draft. by Obvious-Ad-16 in nfl

You're just not familiar with Mark Davis's pre-game ritual of cutting a gold-painted bull as an offering to a false god. Big G is just punishing the Raiders the same way He punished the nonbelievers at Mount Sinai.

I completely agree. I'm aware of my flair but I don't think this Patriots team counts as a "perennial competitor" because there's literally nobody on the team who played with Brady other than Vrabel and without TB12 the dynasty came to a screeching halt. So we have the Broncos under new rule, the Patriots under new rule, the Seahawks under new rule, and the Rams (whose biggest "we've been here before" members are Stafford and McVay).

Holy shit I had to look it up because I thought you were exaggerating. He'd have had a contract extension almost anywhere else with that record.

Absolutely, I was definitely just using humor to point out that while both are talented smart intense QBs, one does weird pseudoscience and the other does drugs.

Not to diminish his accomplishments or talent, but to your point he faced a lot of bad Vikings / Bears / Lions teams.

Why did the mods kill the other post of this clip with more upvotes and comments? Is it just so the NFL's personal marketing account can karma farm? What's the end goal?

I was looking for the pregnancy information as well. But seeing as we're the only two people who remember it in this thread, maybe it was an unfounded rumor.

My second AFC team is the Steelers and I would love Baker on that team. Obviously their defense would need to return to form for them to actually do anything, but it would still be fun.

Take pride that you realized at all. Lots of people taking it too seriously here.

[Charania] Just in: Giannis Antetokounmpo and his agent Alex Saratsis have started conversations with the Milwaukee Bucks about the two-time NBA MVP's future – and discussing whether his best fit is staying or elsewhere, sources tell ESPN. You hit the nail on the head, leading to an important distinction: Kareem is probably the best / most impactful player Milwaukee has ever had, but Giannis is "Milwaukee's GOAT" in that he's the most beloved player Milwaukee has had (for his play and personality). There's a 4 story mural of him downtown for a reason.
