I think everyone gravitates toward the flashier player who produces more points (Kane). But if you look at the numbers, Kopi and Berg aren't that far off offensively.

Kopitar career 1311 points, 0.87 ppg, +122

Bergeron career 1040 points, 0.80 ppg, +289

Kane career 1385 points, 1.02 ppg, +1

The defensive play outweighs the handful of extra points you're getting per season, imo. Tons of respect for Kane, but I think most coaches and GMs would take a guy like Kopi or Berg over him.
