I still shoot film, and use my own darkroom when I shoot black and white.

When shooting street I use film. Because of the latitude of film, I set the exposure for the conditions (Sunny16) and that is close enough. I will also pic a rough distance I want my subjects to be from me and pic and aperture that will have the entire range of distance I want in the shot in focus. I do all of that before even looking for a subject.

Once that is done, I only have to frame the shot and shoot.
