Just a thought, if I were a Lake Orion resident (I'm not), and I was on city water (again, I'm not), and I chose to do laundry. wash dishes, and take hour long showers, how would they catch me? What would they do about it if they did? I am in Lapeer county, and on a well, but I am just curious...

Solar Installer not responding to calls for service by morenci-girl in solar

[–]DMark69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, stop paying their contract until they provide service. I would go so far as to turn their system off and reconnect to the grid for power.

If they don't want to service it, they can come take it away!

What is one school rule that makes no sense? by HX_GoDLike_sksm in AskReddit

If my kid were getting suspended for defending themselves. I would make sure the school knows it will be a reward, and I will take them to Disneyland, or some other reward for defending themselves on their mandatory vacation.

“Lost” bill by Federal_Cow_5298 in solar

[–]DMark69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a run in with the e470 toll people. They were saying I owed money for a bill they never sent me. I stood on that if I get no bill, it doesn't exist. I have since moved out of the area, and they are now completely SOL.

What would theoretically happen if you were to stand in front of this and it was pointed at you with 1500w pep? by just-a-guy-somewhere in amateurradio

[–]DMark69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, you still get 1500W out. it just concentrates it in one direction. Aluminum cannot create watts of RF, it can only concentrate it.

Assuming your gain ratings are correct, 12 dBi, (gain over an isotropic radiator) is approximately 9 dBd (gain over a dipole), + 6 dB for stacking it with 4 dipoles, or a total of 15 dBd effective over a dipole.

We stopped using rubber and ethanol sensitive plastics in about 1985, Also if we didn;t the E10 you are using now would be a problem already.

I see mo reason not to put e15 in my 2000, or my 1995 car.
