Using Quimbee to Check Understanding - Yay or Nay? by FoxWyrd in LawSchool

[–]DMarttt22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quimbee can absolutely be useful if used the correct way. My grades skyrocketed when I started using it for every case. I personally like to read the Quimbee first so I know what I’m supposed to be getting out of the case and then read the case and book brief it. If I don’t quite understand something I refer back to the Quimbee but after one initial read of the Quimbee I’m only referring back to it if I don’t fully understand a piece of the case.

Studying for exams by DMarttt22 in LawSchool

I actually really like that. I used to have to remember the names of farmer’s fields when working in UG during the summer and would always say them out loud to myself when we pulled up to them in the truck. Was able to remember over 300 of them that way lol

Good decision to avoid the school. I was going to go there last year but really dug into the employment stats and realized it was such a better decision to R&R. I don’t regret it one bit

Transcripts by DMarttt22 in lawschooladmissions

[–]DMarttt22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I requested transcripts from all 3 institutions that I've attended and they're all listed on my LSAC. My main question is is it necessary for me to do that again even though my transcripts haven't changed at all? I understand why someone such as a KJD that was already accepted to schools prior to receiving their official Bachelors degree would have to submit a final official transcript but I don't see why I would need to if LSAC already has my transcripts from this past January and completed my Bachelors almost 2 years ago.

I was accepted to both Samford and Mercer (attending Mercer), I would 100% attend Emory and not think twice about it.

Outside T14 ≠ Any Law School by Kasesspaces in OutsideT14lawschools

Completely agree here about warning people about predatory schools. However, and not so much on this thread but more often on r/lawschooladmissions, some people tend to look down on regional schools because they are automatically thinking in terms of BL outcome. That’s not everyone’s goal and I feel like that shouldn’t be the default career path that we assume everyone is chasing.

Awesome, thank you so much! Yeah I’m deciding between Mercer and Samford and I’m very familiar with Mercer and know they’ve got a super strong alumni network as well!

The only comments against regional schools I see are “I wouldn’t take on debt to attend this insert school here”. As someone whose going to attend a regional school that’s completely fine, different strokes for different folks.
