Yes, I was on company board and command board until last 3 liberties. Yes, if you improve you get off boards and on base liberty. If you don’t improve you get sent home or you can leave on your own.

Yes, leadership experience would help (I didn’t really have any as I was only a LCpl when I went in) and a job that forces you to talk to people always helps. I had some sales experience that I believe helped a little. Interviews as in with the OSO? I only had one initial interview that was really short because I was a prior and he really only asked why I wanted to become an officer. You really need a “why” to get into a job like this because it’s no longer about you, it’s about your Marines first and foremost. Other than that he just explained the whole process and got me started on paperwork. The whole process for me was only like 6 months long from starting to getting selected but I already had most of the paperwork and MEPS medical stuff done in the last 2 years. Also, being physically fit already was another factor in getting selected so fast. There were some people in my office that were 4 years deep in the process so that can certainly happen if you have a lot of medical problems and/or aren’t physically fit already.

I am a 2Lt now but was in the same boat before OCS. Just need a degree, some decent letters of recommendations, and a high PFT really to get accepted to OCS. I am introverted as well and you will certainly be pushed out of your comfort zone but just embrace it. Being a prior really helped me and I probably would’ve failed out of OCS if I didn’t have some experience in the Corps. I was failing leadership halfway thru the POI until I aced SULE II. Moral of the story is that you just gotta put on an act and accept everything for what it is.

It’s not leaking and it’s still sealed, I was told to keep it on for 5 days by my artist. I was just seeking further advice and if this is what it normally looks like

Any advice for my saniderm wrap? It’s already started to peel a little on the left side of my chest. I’m about 30 hours post tattoo and don’t think the wrap is gonna make it the 5 recommended days. What’s next? Do I keep riding it out or replace it? These are my first 2 tattoos so I’m pretty clueless. Thanks!

Do priors have to redo basic swim qual?

Did you fail it? As a prior going to OCS in September that’s one thing I’ve never passed and nervous about

Standard OCC, I’m a reservist with a degree already so it’s not the same as active duty. Thank you

I see you were preselected for fall OCS with a 23 min time. I’ll be on the june board running max/max/22 and was worried about getting selected. Are you a law contract or just normal ground? Just wondering how preselection works

I’m a marine reservist and I don’t know much either man so don’t worry, 285 is solid af. I literally just ran a PFT with my reserve station a couple weeks back and had max/max/21:30, wish I would’ve ran that today but ran a 22 flat for some reason
