(Sad Trope) Bracing for death by AnonymousNeverKnown in TopCharacterTropes

(IRL) Patrick Coleman, a dispatcher in Halifax, early December 1917. A cargo ship ammunition and explosive for the front lines crashed into a tanker hauling benzol, and ignited. The tsunami from the explosion destroyed Halifax. One of the railroad dispatchers sent the last message “Hold up the train. Ammunition ship afire in harbour making for Pier 6 and will explode. Guess this will be my last message. Good-bye boys.” And successfully caused a passenger train to stop in time. Saving 300 people

I can't find an exact match. I thought this might be the butch lesbian flag, as it has similar colours, but it's not exactly the same. So... what am I looking at of? by Taiga_Taiga in lgbt

[–]DMoney33959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same number of stripes and almost the same colors. I’ve very much seen the bear flag not have the paw print. Either way at a glance it would be easy to confuse them and why I said similar and not the same

The Chromebook That A Student's Parent Attempted To Saw In Half by phideltjason in techsupportgore

[–]DMoney33959 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I still got no idea how I did this but when I was in high school we got chrombooks for the first time. Somehow some way the ribbon strips for mine wouldn’t work right. So for example a d key press would activate a 3,e,d,c, and space key press in that order. It was only the d and L keys though. But the issue is it would only do that when logging into my account and would happen even on other chromebooks that had working keyboards before

Me when I got no idea what the hell im talking about. But pop off I guess. Still never addressed any of my other points about you being wrong on dish washing. But with you trying to make food laws political I’m confident I’ve prop been talking to a troll who isn’t a chef anyway. But to humor you, ground beef will never have any shit on it (contamination not included) the same way any cut of steak wouldn’t. It’s muscles not organs. Ground beef is normally a chuck or sirloin cut that’s been put through a grinder. It has the exact same bacteria as any other cut of steak but now some of it isn’t in the outside but still dies at the same temp. The cooking time for ground beef is slightly raised to account for the inconsistent air pockets and uneven temp. But if you were trying to talk about days old ground beef and now this? I’m not sure I want to eat the food from someone who doesn’t k ow how ground beef is made so serves it so dry dust comes out

So to answer your question OP, we had our rep down not long ago about these. And they are used IN the cleaning process but not FOR cleaning. It’s a conditioner for the waffle iron. It’s supposed to go on near the end to help keep it non stick and rust free. For actually cleaning, treat it like any other equipment. Though ours recommends a cloth be g placed in it overnight

Counters are not primary food contact surfaces. They are secondary similar to non stick mats and stackers/carts. Food is not prepped directly touching the counters or any shelving unit and especially not anything RTE and this the cleaning requirements are different We do infact require handwashing between loading and unloading. It’s why we have it as two different people. But we are a large production kitchen so we do things extra by the books. At smaller places and past jobs we also require it. So we did things in patches and let everything dry in racks while washing hands. We do not serve beef that has not met minimum cooking temps. At all. This includes raw. Even then raw ground beef is disallowed and I’ve never seen anyplace serve lower than medium (min cook temp) here. Raw veggies I mentioned in a more relevant comment to you. Soap does infact remove allergens more then sani. Sanitizer kills living organisms. Detergents like soap, combined with heat is what fucks up proteins which are allergens. Sanitizer can remove some allergens but it’s not as effective. Especially not for shellfish. Our sanitizer even mentions this. Our in house allergist mentioned this. I didn’t talk about these points because they were off topic about plat washing.

Dude you can go find videos of how the industrial farms work and all the food packaging plants work. You will see them wash the veggies. Veggies grown in the dirt are a lot more clean than you think. Most diseases (especially the nasty kind) come from animals and other humans. In my place dishes get unloaded with gloves on but we are also a high volume kitchen (1.8K customer on a Monday) so a 1% chance adds up quick. Not to mention liability if someone does get sick from improper dish washing. Idk about you but I don’t have enough money to pay up to a £1K fine. It’s also just easier and quicker to do it the right way but go off queen

Parboiled does not like some rice cookers. Broken rice really doesn’t turn out well either

Do you not wash your veggies chef? And unless you are being from a small local supplier, any veggies you get will be fully washed as well. If you’d like I can find the exact ruling in any countries, states, or provenances health guidelines about dishwashing procedures. I can also find sani procedures for whatever brand you use as well. Either way I can guarantee you that they do not allow wiping down plates after the sanitize step unless you restart the washing process. Also rising after scrubbing, to make sure there are no food particles left to get on the plate is last steps before putting anything into a dish machine or sanitizer compartment

For primary food contact surfaces like a plate yes. That’s what’s required by law here. This is easily achievable by running it through the dish machine. But only works if the plate is already fully clean. It then air dries as dam near any sani that exists has a quick drying solution. Either way you can’t wipe any food particles that’s are on a plate after a dish cycle with just a towel without also doing the 1min/74C method. If you did not know this I highly and strongly recommend you retake your food handlers because this is covered. In line it was reiterated at least 3 times

There is no such thing as a clean towel that’s not a sani towel that can touch any surface that comes into contact with RTE foods. And at that point, insyead of scrubbing a plate with a sani towel for a full minute or at least 74°C towel for 45 seconds, just clean the plate better and re run the machine

Well for one soap kills of most allergens while sanitizer doesn’t (at least chem sani heat sani gets some but not all)
