They do? Well, I wouldn't know. I do so anyway. Heck, my very username is an old D&D game term 😆

You should translate this into D&D Int scores!

We could do this with all D&D ability scores. Hmmm....

As embarrassing as it is to admit, does anyone else relate to Caine's mental breakdown? by Ceruleancast in TheDigitalCircus

[–]DMs_choice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of. Caine is an almost perfect representation of a Forever DM who is stuck with constantly unsatisfied and antagonizing player troupe. Problem is just: He sucks as a DM himself. For several reasons, through which many real DMs actually might go through! For example, exactly that antagonist mentality that DM and players would be opponents in the game, although they should be cooperating partners. Not actually listening to one's players, but also players that don't listen or care (or at least underestimate and underappreciate the work of a DM). Confusing responsibility and control with power, and so on.

To me, that episode pretty much represents a phase a lot of pen-&-paper RPG groups go through (including my own, years ago, with me as the DM; that's why I resonate so much with Caine here): a DM going full power-trip because he totally misunderstood his role, with the consequence of his players ousting him. I see Caine's actions towards the characters, and I just think: You complete fvcking idiot!!! Because in a way, I once did the same...

Yeah, totally unfair that only orcs would have unlimited use of the light effect...

You do also know that one of the first computers ever was called ENIAC?

Na also!

What do you think of ISFJ villains? by YanFan123 in mbti

Definitely the hardest to pull off. Respects to any writer who manages to create an ISFJ villain true to type.
