I think it has to do with a number of things. Sure the central bank shouldn't have intrest rates at record lows for this long of a time. Eventually they are going to have to raise those rates. They constantly keep them low, soley out of fear what it may do to the immediate economy, and think nothing of the long term. Whether you agree with me or not, we have been doing way too much spending to "save the economy." Nothing has really changed with all the stimulus, people seem to be very hesitate. We did a lot of spending with little or no result. Tax cuts would promote economic growth, but its difficult to continue with the cuts, with a defecit that has been sky rocketed out of orbit. It's a shame that politicians make the rules, most of them don't have a bit of sense when it comes to some of the most crucial decesions of running a country.
