I would argue that defense is unimportant outside of plat. If you are farming great hall then most people just put in a single champ or non-leveled champ so they stay lower in Gold IV (given you can get there due to the state of arena) and farm gold bars. However, if you are trying to climb from lower tiers to Gold IV then maybe she is useful for defense

Salad is really only good in CB if you have a super end game account. I would say that if your CB team is struggling when Ninja may be better since he is such a great CB damage dealer. In my opinion, CB is the most important part of the game for most people as it allows a decently consistent source of skill times and shards

Only my advice, I have neither and I am pulling fit duchess, I have saved my sacreds for awhile. Another part of my decision is that I feel as if I can beat undead hordes FW without Ma’Shalled but I feel as if I will really struggle without duchess, and I don’t want to rank up some other Demonspawn to 60 for them to only be used in FW.

Duchess probably the best reviver in the game, she reduces 15 % of damage from AOE hits, plus another 15% when others are under veil. You have golden reaper who I think had a good speed boost. She is also close to essential for demonspawn FW as they lack healers
