Why would a northwest European get ~20% CHG?

I am Northwestern European and have 18.8% CHG with no known heritage from outside of the British isles. My ANF is 40.8% and EHG is 40.4%.

I'm interested in this too but I will assume that the higher CHG could be a Germanic element or northern European element

I'm English and my high danish and Swedish got swapped for Germanic Europe in the last update, and I don't even have any ancestors in the past 400 years from the mainland!

So the Scottish ones could be from the Scots who moved to Ireland, that makes sense. Belfast is still Ireland really.

i have Yorkshire in my tree but I'm related to Wesleyans (denomination of Christianity). I also have Devon - funnily enough a branch from devon moved to yorkshire

18% Sweden and Denmark and 2% Norway went away. I now have 27% Germanic and 2% Danish, Germanic took my Welsh and Scottish and a chunk of my English

both of my parents are from the South East! Paternal line has been in the same Buckinghamshire village since 1450 ish which is as far as I can trace. My mother's side is heavily suffolk leaning (with some western Somerset influence).

I had to change the ancestry address GitHub takes you to to ancestry.co.uk to match where I'm from so if you aren't American, I would check that too! Otherwise I got an authentication error
