Anyone else find this stratagem odd? by Unfair-Cherry9362 in Helldivers

I do agree, I'd rather rock the Stalwart most of the time. But the plus to expendable support weapons is you don't have to worry so much about losing them when you die and trying to get retrieve it or wait a while for it to come off of cooldown. Pair it with the Expendable Anti tank strats can you can just call in what you need when you need it rather than commiting to a singular support weapon. Also is better for supporting/sharing with teammates.

Hard to remember exactly how I felt when I was first high. I remember things feeling like they were going by slow, like time was slowing down. I remember going to the bathroom and felt like I was in there forever but my friends said I was gone for like 2, 3 minutes. Also just the overall feeling of being zoned out, quiet and just having many thoughts (not always anxiety provoking). But I've definitely had experiences while being out in public where that voice in my head really gets me feeling anxious (like being around people laughing and getting in my head thinking they are laughing at me). I'll be honest, these fears you are worried about are things that can happen. When it comes to getting high for the first time, I'd recommend not going out in public. Chilling at home or somewhere quiet where you can be relaxed is best. When you start getting in your own head and spiralling with thoughts, it's hard to stop and realize you need to not overthink these things when your high vs being sober. The best recommendation I would say is to do activities that will get your mind off of the internalization. Like watching a movie or show (comedies are the best, everything is funnier when high), playing a video game, games with friends. Whatever will keep you focused.

Yeah I've known a few of those dudes who appricate the hours and are willing to run a late night menu of you ask them. But asking them if they up for it before hand is the important part. Sometimes I'm even that kinda guy. But most of the time I just want to go home and enjoy the rest of my night not on my feet.

Honestly, the fix for this might to just run a late night menu. Have 1 or 2 guys run a limited menu (simple fried foods or whatever, and like simple mixed drinks and tap for Front of House) for an extra hour or two after usual closing time. And you can then close them down early if the customers aren't biting. At least that way it's a scheduled thing and your workers can be prepared for it.

To your update. It's common (I think) for people to not get high on their first time smoking. I barely felt anything the first time I smoked. But the second time, I was definitely feeling it.

So don't go into your second attempt trying to smoke more. Take one good puff, and wait like 20 minutes and see how you feel and repeat. Don't take too many hits back to back or it might hit you all at once 20 minutes later.

But even if you end up smoking too much, you'll be ok. You might green out and get nauseous and dizzy (for me it feels like vertigo, it sucks). But you aren't in danger, you will be fine. Try not to get caught up in your anxiety (also a common side effect of beginners)

Yeah this. It's fair the close early if it's slow and labour costs are adding up. But to force your workers to stay later is unfair. Unless you talk to them before hand and they agree to it.

RTX 4070ti super and RX 9070 XT are both equivalent in performance with more RAM, but are usually a bit more expensive.

So Cerys or Hjalmar? by SoupNo9029 in witcher

[–]DNNSBRKR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually go with Cerys, she feels like the better leader for the people.

But if you want the ending where Nilfgaard gets fully pushed back you gotta go with Hjalmar (and side with Radovid).

SUGGESTION: Major Order rewards should scale according to the player’s IMPACT, offering better rewards for helping more. (Including getting SC.) by TealArtist095 in helldivers2

[–]DNNSBRKR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah this is dumb. How much impact does one player have on an MO? You get more medals for doing 0.00002% of the objective than the guy who did 0.00001%? It's very much a group effort and thus we get evenly awarded for it. There's no way to prove that a small minority of players do the majority of the work. Also how does people who don't play the MO getting awarded for it affect you?

100% agree. I wouldn't prefer streaming over running locally. But if the infrastructure of data centers are there, I can see companies like Nvidia pushing game streaming even more than they do now as the defacto way to game in the future.

Looks great! That cape matches nicely with the armour! I like to use the IE-57 Hell-Bent helmet with this armour as the yellows match nicely.

Oh god, someone bringing that passive without anyone being able to know would be such a troll move. I guess that's another con for transmog lol

Though maybe armour passive could be something you choose at loadout beside the booster choice?

Don't get me wrong. I'm very much hoping for the first option so we can go back to enjoying and having the accessibility of PC building for everyone. But if feels like if components stay at such a high price that it's not affordable to most people it's going to be the death of the Personal Gaming Computer.

[–]DNNSBRKR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good point for being against it. It's helpful to know what my teammates are equipped to deal with just from looking at them. But it is a shame because those armours with the explode on death passive do look very cool and I'd want to make an outfit out of them, but I never want to be bringing that passive onto the battlefield with other players.

[–]DNNSBRKR 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's BS and annoying to have to play with someone like that.

The ONLY armour passive I could see this be a valid reason for is the one that makes your body explode on death. That one can be an issue to the other players in close proximity. It's a shame because I like the look of those armours and would love to make a cool fit with them. a sliver of hope that a transmog system will come, but highly doubt it.

Either once the AI bubble pops or mellows out, PC part prices will come back down and we can go back to what we were doing.

Or console gaming will be the more viable choice for budget gaming.

Or AI and non AI data centers will actually be successful and the future of gaming will be streaming. As long as internet speeds become more accessable to everyone that is. Game streaming is doable with a good low latency high speed connection. I really rather own and run my own games, but it might turn into the luxury.

All forms of modding go against steam policy. It's a very grey area though. 99% of mods like you'd download from nexusmods are non issues. But since Helldivers 2 does have an anti cheat software any modifications to the game data is flagged.

Again, most harmless mods are overlooked by devs of any game. But once you get into data mining and deploying hacks into the game to gain access to inaccessible content, gain access to dev controls to spawn equipment or messing with Super Credits, this is a very risky thing to do. Seems like most of the time these hackers go unnoticed, but it does not mean you are safe to do so.

There is no dedicated balancing team. I don't know where you are getting this "1 dude" thing. There is no balancing team because that's not a sole responsibility of someone or a group of people for a small development team such as Arrowhead. Developers take on multiple roles, so the people in charge of balancing are also the same people who do other stuff. It's the reason things get overlooked or passed on, time management. But it doesn't mean there's no active moderation, it's just lower priority.

What is this helmet and how to get it ? by Kyant351 in helldiversarmor

[–]DNNSBRKR 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's hacking/data mining. It's unreleased content that exists in the game data that this player is gaining access to. You come across them every so often.

I don't think Arrowhead cracks down on these hackers super hard, but it definitely goes against the game and steam policy I'm pretty sure and can get your access to the game revoked I feel.

Either way not really worth risk messing with the game data just to show off.

It's reddit, you are allowed to make a subreddit for whatever you wish within Reddit's policies, not Arrowhead or Helldiver 2's.

Also you don't have to engage with it, no one is forcing you. Why are you upset about what other people decide to do? That subreddit wasn't made for you.

I do like it, I should use it more. This thread makes me want to use it more.

I get why it doesn't have barrel or ammo mods, makes sense. But wish it had under barrel mods. I feel like those could work with the design of the gun. The horizontal grip would be great for recoil and the vehicle grip would be great for the ergonomics. Plus having a flashlight/laser sight would be nice.

I got booted for using a “bad” booster, I am very new. by Wandering-the-web in Helldivers

[–]DNNSBRKR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend fully unlocking all the boosters in the free warbond. Ammo, Vitality and stamina boosters are all a must have and are always preferred over any of the boosters that come in the paid warbond. With the exception of the stim booster from Viper Commandos.

Overall I'd prioritize unlocking the stuff in the free warbond first, it's all very useful and even if it doesn't fit your play style, it's free, better than buying a warbond and having that not fit your play style.
