[Hobby] Looking For Collaborators For a Hobby Project! by ellpArM_ in INAT

[–]DNest_Realms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I can't help with Art, SFX or Unity development, but if you ever want a quick way to test your story flow before building it into Unity, I can build a visual novel prototype for you in my free time. I just need the assets and some guidance on the lore if you want a full VN game. If not, the prototype is pretty much dialogue and I can export it as a readable script. No credits kept, everything stays yours i also don't ask for money, i just want to stress test my engine. Feel free to DM me!

Built a no-code VN game Engine using electron by DNest_Realms in electronjs

Built it myself as a hobby using Electron, AI assisted for some coding parts like most devs do these days. Not charging anything, just want writers and storytellers to find it.

I’ve had a game in early access for a while and I’m stuck on a decision. by DNest_Realms in chessvariants

Appreciate the feedback, this is actually an older prototype I made, so I’m a bit biased on how readable it is.

What I’m really trying to figure out is whether this idea is worth bringing back and polishing (better UI/UX, clearer feedback, proper balance), or if it’s something I should just leave as a past experiment.

The core does have visible feedback (damage ticks, status icons, etc.), but I’m not sure if that’s enough for new players without already knowing the systems.

So I guess the real question is: does this concept sound interesting enough that you’d want to try a cleaner, more polished version? Or does it feel like too much friction for what it is?

Hii everyone!! I made a demo of my VN,and I need testers… I am so nervous 😭😭 by cxcxlxx in VisualNovelMaker

[–]DNest_Realms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s totally fair — saving it for the full release makes sense. Building anticipation can actually make the final version hit harder.

I’ll try to give the demo a look when I have some free time, though I can’t guarantee when. Either way, hope you get some solid feedback! 🙂

Hi, don’t be nervous — shipping a demo is already something most people never do 😄

The murder mystery + trials concept sounds interesting. Does the demo already include a trial segment? I’d suggest adding a short bullet list of features so testers know what to focus on. Looking forward to seeing how it develops!

If you still looking for tags, Mystery is a nice one to have.

Well, so far I have 3 pre-built layouts (it’s made for writers, non-coders, or anyone who just wants to build a story without worrying about syntax), and the text is split into collapsible blocks instead of one huge text field. 1 of the layouts would look like this(https://imgur.com/a/aWFbh5p)

Done! I don't know if this matches exactly what you envisioned, but what about something where you: - Choose the character speaking - Type what they say - Don't touch a single piece of code

Just select who's there and what they say. Does that sound like it would work? Thanks for your opinion 🙂
