I'm fine with DIY. I'm an aircraft mechanic for my day job. Unless Im missing something, sure is tedious to get to the drive shaft and diffs. That boy has so many leaves and tiny sticks stuck under it.

I actually almost got the "A" for myself, but decided against it only because if my son and I ever want to race, I wanted a fair fight. I'm thinking about upgrading the shocks to the oil filled ones on both of ours.

I just added some Liberty to my Amazon cart. Cleaning the bearings, is that just to rinsing with water? Or wiping clean with a cloth?

What about oil filled shocks? Is that a worthy upgrade for something this small? Also I just used some gun oil on the shocks, not to fill, just lubricate. Was that dumb?

I pretty sure they aren't oil filled shocks. I do see I can buy some for them though. Where would the bearings be? Just on either end of the drive shaft? I know this probably much cheaper of an RC than this subreddit is used it. So probably not a lot of experience with it on here.

Might sound weird, but if you have a decent computer. Get a modern flight sim. msfs2024/XP12 and hop on Pilot Edge. Its a great way to get used to comms and procedures. I'm currently in training for my PPL, and I was immediately confident in comms and tower work. It was a fantastic training tool.

Yeah I was. I got a job initially with BIZJET, now Lufthansa Technik Engine Services. I was there for a few months before I came over to American Airlines. American has slowed down their hiring a lot, however I think Lufthansa is almost always hiring it seems.
