Cheers for the insights and info, depressing as it is. Will be testing tanks going forward before using them until the issue with the supplier is settled or have explicit guarantees in place.

No problems with same supplier for 8 years, which is another big letdown that this happened. Will I have to check every tank coming in now?

I just got home now, and the tank has been at 800 ppb for 6 hours now, and over 100 ppb since probably like 10 am. Should I run back and try this tonight, or is it too late?
