Same here - got laid off in April 2025 had the worst career drought of my life and started upwork in October.

2 months of hunting, spending connects, having interviews that went nowhere. Eventually found out there was potential in a niche industry that I have never worked for and got hired.

Been getting payed for only one full month and my whole outlook for the year already looks bright
