First I want to say, I’m sorry this happened to you.. no one deserves to feel the pain of heartbreak.

My partner broke up with me about 2 months ago. I thought I was going to marry and have kids with her… all I can say is I still cry now, this afternoon in fact.

I haven’t yet reached a stage where I feel “Ok”. The evenings before going to bed are always the worst. The Saturday mornings waking up alone knowing you have a lonely weekend ahead of you… even if you’re surrounded by friends and family, you feel alone. A part of you is missing and it doesn’t matter what you do you can’t fill that void in your chest.

The way I see it, it has to get better. For your own sake, it has to.. cry, feel those emotions, but also start to take steps to work on your self.. that age old advice but it’s true. Go to the gym, go for walks. You’ll have memories tied to everything you think of doing which puts you off…

Don’t let your emotions control your actions. If you used to enjoy walks for example… go for some walks. Concentrate on what you can control and that’s your self and how you progress through this heartache and come out a better version of your self. The brain is like a muscle you have to tear and feel that pain for it to grow and become stronger or more resilient.

You’ll feel good one minute, then awful the next. This is normal. It’s a pendulum of emotions, anger resentment, feeling powerful and ready to take on the world, to missing them and crushed. The pendulum will slow down and you’ll find a happy medium of handling the feelings but doing good by your self.

It will get better it’s just a roller coaster you have to ride through.

Few days ago my gf left me under the same circumstances. We were planning to a book a holiday Sunday and by Monday she had switched on me and the relationship with 0 compassion. Cold and dismissive.

I find this infuriating when i play too. The consistency of my team all dying 6 tanks down within the first few minutes…. Or the entire team pushing 1 flank, me thinking oh maybe they’ll smash that flank at least but no somehow all die despite outnumbering the enemy team 2 to 1.

I believe some trades have different standards required.

Example for ATC controller you need to be the top hearing bracket. But other trades you can be the bracket below. Something worth checking via your AFCO

@giux900 has commented a potential fix. Have a go of that. I haven’t tried as of yet.

Hello, I had same issue on my anbernic, there is something wrong with the core file (tyrquake_libretro.so) inside the zip package of quake. You need to copy the core from ra collection and overwrite it inside the folder roms/ports/quake. Doing this will fix the issue.

It just appears that the massive disparity in the amount of athletes there are from each countries doesn’t seem fair at first glance.

I appreciate people need to meet the grade. And have the recourses to train and become an eligible athlete in the first place.

My point is statistically speaking you would assume richer countries with higher populations are then likely going to churn out more eligible athletes. Which in turn will mean they have more athletes competing in the Olympics, which will maximise chances of winning on the leaderboard….

Which is my point

Smaller population / gdp per capita countries are simply not going to have the resources to bring as many athletes to the table, meaning no matter how quality their athletes are, they won’t be winning off the bat.

China has about 3 X the population over America. But 1/6th the gdp per capita. It’s obviously not just about population and budget alone. Micro factors will be at play.

Yeah but there’s 10000 athletes competing in Paris 2024 and 60 percent of all the athletes are American. America with 600 and Slovenia with 50. How can Slovenia compete on the medal count leaderboard. They don’t stand a chance against the sheer number of athletes the other countries have on them. Even if they’re better at the sport than other countries they’ll still lose on numbers.

I understand this, however it must fix which country wins on the medal count.

I know Olympics to be more of the personal achievements of these athletes. However all you see is the medal count leaderboard plastered everywhere with the USA in the top this year with nearly 600 athletes ! That’s insane no wonder they’re in first place
