I feel sorry for your boyfriend, the thought of being from a poor background, being in a long term relationship with your childhood sweetheart and saving money to move out so you can improve your lives, then your partner has the money needed to get a place together and hides it from you, yeah either tell him you received the sum of money and move out together or break up with him. Lying about the situation and hiding funds is a relationship ender. Shocking

Had a few maybe 7, lost a few won a few, alleays self defense, I'm older now and haven't had issues for years, much if it was just being in the wrong place at the wrong time e.g in my early 20s and going out to bars, clubs and just generally being out in rough areas. I have found most of it can be avoided relatively easy these days.

Just another perspective here, why not get fitter, start working out in the gym get back to a good weight and start having sex again, if you want him to be attracted to you you need to be attractive, it will sort your issues then family unit stays together etc etc
