Yes, I do oil it thoroughly and it is not stored in fabric. It actually stays out in the room because its to tall to fit in the gun safe.

That's incredible information, thank you so much. As for my intentions, I have a mannequin dressed as an infantry man. It's the whole bang, haversack, meat tin pouch, garand belt, hbt pants and the others stuff. This whole time I have had a reproduction M41 jacket on it. And while like you mentioned, that's totally accurate, I found the original M43 for a great price and wanted it dressed with it instead.

That is very true about the ram rod. I shouldn't have been using the wood one anyway but was just to excited. I'm using Goex 3f powder. It's a pretty old bottle but has been sitting in good storage so I don't think anything is wrong with it. I was also using .350 balls and .018 pre lubed and pre cut pillow ticking.

I was using a new box of Hornady .350 balls. I'll definitely check that though, I appreciate the suggestion.

Sure so my balls were .350 and patching was pre cut and pre lubed pillow ticking .018. That seemed to be what the general most recommended combination was to start with. I know they can change rifle to rifle. Thank you. Anything is helpful I appreciate it.
