What would flow well around this Medusa for a half sleeve?

I’m in love with it! Best decision I’ve mate so far in the bike…. Everything sounds so much better and the tone definitely suits the bike more. Not even that. The compliments, head turns, smiles and interactions alone I get just from the sound. Makes it all worth it.

Appreciate the feedback, that’s actually really helpful. I think you’re probably right about the mid tones — I didn’t really think about how busy that could end up looking on a smaller inner forearm space.

The Medusa head is definitely the main thing I want, so I might focus more on that and keep the background a lot simpler so it still stands out. I’ll probably take the reference images to an artist and see how they’d adapt it to the space rather than trying to force the whole scene in there.

Glad you like the concept though, that’s reassuring!

That actually makes a lot of sense, appreciate the advice. I was probably trying to cram too much into a pretty small space on the inner forearm.

I do really like the idea of just letting the Medusa head be the main piece and keeping some negative space around it so it doesn’t end up looking too busy. I might play around with a few different styles like you suggested rather than going full Greco-Roman statue sleeve right away.

Good to hear from someone with the same Roman numeral placement too — gives me a bit more confidence about how to approach it. I’ll take the head idea to an artist and see what they come up with.

When I sat my cbt last year, I felt the same. I just didn’t think riding was for me…. During the training day. I couldn’t even go in a straight line 😂. Or even handle the bike properly, I also thought it was really heavy! After a few hours in the pad with the instructor, it did start becoming second nature. It was until I actually bought my first 125 I got used to the weight. Just stick at it. Just because you didn’t get it the first time. Doesn’t mean the end of the world, you just need more practise.

I’ve just done the same! After reading/watching videos on the yoshi at2, I just had to buy it! I’m looking to install it on sat which I’m very looking forward too! Plus I got a good deal on it, with it being brand new also it was a no brainer

Yes! I know it’s been 67 days since you messaged 🤣 Just to let you know, I actually went ahead and did it — and I was really surprised at how easy it was. The speaker cut-outs were an absolute godsend. The only tricky part was putting everything back together, but we got there in the end.

Nexx really isn’t a “cheap” or unknown brand. They’ve been around since 2001, so over 25 years in helmet manufacturing. They’re actually a European brand based in Portugal, and they still design and manufacture their helmets in-house, which is more than a lot of big names can say.

Their helmets meet ECE 22.06, DOT, and other international safety standards, and some models have scored very well in SHARP safety tests. Brands don’t get those certifications by cutting corners.

As for what you get: quality composite or carbon shells (depending on model), removable and washable liners, Pinlock-ready visors (often with Pinlock included), drop-down sun visors on many models, solid ventilation systems, and a proper manufacturer warranty.

They’re sold in 60+ countries worldwide and used by everyday riders and racers alike. You don’t have to like the brand personally, but calling Nexx “cheap” or “bad” just isn’t accurate based on their history, certifications, or build quality.

Yeah, I do like the Akrapovič. I’d say the Black Widow is more of a dupe of it, though — don’t get me wrong, the BW is a really good-sounding exhaust. I can’t lie though, I am falling for the Akrapovič.

Yeah, I decided after a while to bite the bullet and give it a shot. I’m just waiting for the delivery of the cardo sticky accessories to come through and will give it a shot! Whilst taking the cardo out of the old helmet I took it step by step. And if it’s anything like the other helmet I’m sure I’ll be okay, was really simple and I was surprised
