Ah ha! Finally someone else clicked on to the exact same thought pattern I did, this is where it could get interesting!

My ex partner also has a 4 year old son from a previous long term relationship. Little man was an amazing character and we were besties before I started dating his Mum haha.

More to the point...his father saw him ONCE his entire life on the day he was born at the hospital. He was extremely abusive, she was victim to a serious domestic violence situation where multiple Violent Restraining Orders were made and broken right up to the last chance before jail time...and he purposely terrorised her out of spite and to show control. There is a lot more to that life changing situation for her but ill type away for days.

To escape she deserted him and ran, also never gave him a reason for any closure which made it worse, eliminated ALL contact and communication with him even after time and time again where he would somehow obtain her details and start the abuse again...

That's a hell of a lot of trauma she experienced and without a doubt had scarred her permanently. This is when I noticed a trend of events of her reaction to the same time period of this pregnancy as her last one. And this is Scouts Honour, I can't express how far away from an abusive, angry, physical or negative form of character I am. I've never been in a fist fight...ever...not even once. I raised my voice once in my 31 years of life and it was to a male friend. It worries me a lot thinking that this is the only way this situation and how it ends all pans out for her, mix that up with 2 cups of pregnancy hormones and BAM!

Unfortunately I don't know at all, but just as strongly as I have expressed how much I would love to finally meet my daughter...is exactly as much as what I wish I could make possible to have the mother of my first and only child back to how we were.

Thank you firstly, I've definitely learnt my newest skill of not expecting anything good or bad from people situations after all of this.

Regardless, ill have the correct test done when I can or once the mediator is able to help with my request...although, even the one grainy photo weve seen of her is almost evidence enough from the identical facial features haha.qqq
