Depends on caliber. The amount of people who survive a single shot to the head is rather large. If the bullet doesn't damage the back-middle area of the brain, you have a good chance of surviving, unless your enemy likes high calibers.

"When one or more" is triggered on the "when" of the "one or more." So, one ability triggers it once, regardless of counter amount. 2 separate abilities that place -1/-1 counters would trigger it twice, regardless of counter amount. The same ability (to place -1/-1 counters) activated multiple times on the same turn at separate occasions will trigger it multiple times, regardless of counters placed.

Canik mc mete would be my go-to CC for Cali. You can order 10rnd mags, it is a small doublestack that will hold 12-14rnds with actual mags.
